I've been in Phoenix when it was like that. I think it only dropped to 98 overnight. Tires were melting.

We had a quiet Christmas with both of our kids who have kids going to other family. So Christmas supper here was just me and Rog, our youngest son, and Rog's 2 sisters. We found a little turkey, about 8 lb, and I still did most of the dishes I always do just on a smaller scale, so it was still pretty tasty.

We're having our big family supper on Thursday. Hopefully everyone will be here. It's still supposed to be cold as the dickens with daytime temps of -26F/feels like-36F and night time -29F/feels like -54F.
