But when you leave the car in the traffic lane while you get what ever, could you not at least turn the motor off? But it gets even a bit more crazy if you park your car, like I a saw last sunday, in a roundabout.
Yet it is amazing how few accidents you see.
I spent a month in Cameroon back around spring of 2000 in several cities and the driving is horrible. There's a small semblance of order. It was crazy. And the taxi drivers that drove us were even crazier.

Cars that seemingly have a horn wired to their brake pedal. When we lived down in Metro Detroit (16yrs) if the car behind you had to slow down, the horn instantaneously went off.

The four-way stop sign works only if everyone knows the rules and is courteous but not overly so. You let those who arrived before you go before you. But when it's your turn, you need to go. The aggressive Neanderthal will just barrel ahead oblivious as to whether it's his (or her) turn. But the overly courteous individual will hesitate until nobody is waiting. Both can gum up the works.

It works better when all four lanes are backed up; in that case, you don't have to keep track of who arrived earliest, each lane gets a turn in clockwise fashion.

And if you arrive at the same time the one on the right goes first.

People who weave in and out of traffic lanes. You are not sure what they are going to do.

I spoke to someone who said he didn't use his turn signals because he doesn't want to let people behind him know because they will try to cut him off. I was like, "WHAT???"

Or they just don't dim them at all.

Then you have some newer cars who's lights are much brighter than they used to be even though they're not technically on 'bright'.

That's true for lane changes, they see the signal and speed up. I usually just grab the lane, no signal.

Up here in resort paradise we have these that come up from florida in their Caddy's and pull smack out in front of you and go 25mph. Their speed on the highway is 45-52mph. That's when I seriously enjoy the Hemi and towing gears.

Motorcyclist who weave in and out and drive in between lanes

SLOW drivers in the fast lane need to be ticketed $500

They need a fast lane with 85mile an hour minimum speed limit

Drivers who never use a blinker. $500 fine.
