We pay much more for fuel down here. $2 US gallon = $0.53 cents/litre
So if FFO pays $1.30/litre =$4.90/gallon

Being so far north and difficult for fuel transport, the only gas station (with 1970's analog pumps) in Copper Harbor has pump regular at 2.65 and Premo at 3.54gal. Not one complaint.

Only paid $0.95 per L on the weekend. Lowest I've got in ages. Can't find a converter to put that in $US / Gallon

We're not that big.
But if you include Alaska then the "United States is approximately 9,833,517 sq km, while Australia is approximately 7,741,220 sq km, making Australia 78.72% the size of United States. Meanwhile, the population of United States is ~326.6 million people (303.4 million fewer people live in Australia)" or AU has 1/13th the number of people.

The seasonal changeover to cold blend fuels is showing in the 10cent jump in fuel prices. We are at 2.19, currently.
