Do you like cinnamon?
I'm not a big fan, I enjoy a little in things like apple pies or rolls but for the most part, to me at least, a little goes a long way. Femme mentioned using 'mega' cinnamon in another thread...no thanks. Matter of fact I walked into a store today and in the Christmas section it reeked of cinnamon...I quickly walked past it.
So, is cinnamon towards the top or bottom of your list in terms of taste and/or scent?

I got some of the "real" cinnamon and it's much better than the cassia that's generally sold.
it's very delicate and doesn't overpower everything else. I like it a lot and will get it again.
Now, I was taking cinnamon in capsule for a while.. for the health benefits.. I ran out and just haven't replenished .. but I think I will.

I like cinnamon toast and a small bit in apple dishes. Maybe once a year I will eat a cinnamon roll. Otherwise, I could live without it.

I love cinnamon too...
I find the aroma soothing and relaxing, the taste delicious AND it helps to lower blood pressure.
I sprinkle it on toast, in my oatmeal, and it's the "secret ingredient" in my 3-Alarm Chili.
I always put a pinch in my coffee too.
I use it a LOT!

I love cinnamon in food. But the scent of cinnamon, especially in stores this time of year, often is overpowering. One craft store I was in recently, I simply had to hurry & get what I was there for & get out, without looking around at anything else, because they had cinnamon sticks that were so strong I could hardly breath in there.

I think part of the reason I don't like the scent in stores is because it's synthetic.. or it's that strong cassia that's not really cinnamon.
the real stuff is amazing.

I love cinnamon and it is really good for you. As other's noted, the synthetic version can be overpowering...I like candles that give off a hint of it ut I don't like anything 'incense'.

I dunno, maybe I'm a little more sensitive to it than you guys but there have been a few times I had cinnamon rolls that were heavy on the cinnamon and it made my mouth zing.
