I'm not a big sweet eater, so I always let others bring the desserts.

Hold up...wait...I did forget about the lemon cheesecake pie that I usually make. It's more like pudding than cheesecake, but it's super yummy.

Pretty much as Romans and Lista except I don't do 'stuffing, I make cornbread dressing and instead of green beans we have green bean casserole.

We're not sure what's going on this year.. Steph needs to move, and it's possible, it will be over that weekend, or the one before, or the one after.. so..

ALL we know is, the 4 of us will be having time together.. food, at this point, is a toss up.

Ours has downsized..kind of hard to cook a spread in a travel trailer. :) We gave our son the nice dining table in exchange for Thanksgiving at his house each year!! I only cook dressing as it has to be gluten free...

We spend Thanksgiving with my parents. But this year we're cooking the turkey and stuffing. Mom and my sister will make the rest. It'll probably be mashed potatoes, gravy, candied sweet potatoes, rolls, apple pie, and pumpkin pie. There will be some kind of veggie, but I'm not sure what.

Being Canadian, our Thanksgiving was 2 weeks ago already. 2nd Monday of October, so people make a weekend of it and the meal can be any time over that weekend. I always cook supper on Saturday so we have lots of help dealing with the leftovers.

We had 15 at our table and the menu was:
    Turkey and dressing
    Mashed potatoes and gravy
    Pyrogies, 2 kinds
Nalysnyky (cottage cheese wraps/crepes baked in cream)
Holopchi (small, 1 or 2 bite, sour leaves cabbage rolls)
    Baked sweet potatoes
    corn
    turnip
    tossed salad
    olives, green and black
pickles, 3 kinds including daughter's home made dilled carrots
home made pies, apple and saskatoon, with ice cream
    pumpkin pie (purchased)

I'm going to have to buy an extra table because mine just isn't made for 15 ppl!!!

How is giblet gravy different from just making gravy from the drippings? If it's anything like this recipe I found, it sounds like WAY too much work for me!!!
