Not sure. If I go somewhere for seafood it's normally fried flounder or whitefish I think. And I don't even know what whitefish is.

I like tuna salad. Mayo, boiled egg, sweet pickles. I like a tuna melt. The tuna salad with a piece of cheddar on toast and cheese melted.

It is the best freshwater fish you can have. Lake Superior whitefish. The resorters (we call them Fudgies) eat it up. Us locals cant get enough of it.

Yes! Fresh Lake Superior Whitefish.... is superior. Not to be a snob, but fresh is best. Oh my
Fresh brook trout, fresh perch, fresh walleye, fresh fish.
Lake trout from Lake Michigan. (We'd go fishing with a charter out of Petoskey.)

Lake Trout may be the only trout I would eat. Late October they were catching this deep water trout species at the mouth of the Boyne River. I saw two laying ashore near a young fisherman and couldn't believe my eyes. I asked him if those were lake trout and he grinned with a big SHHHH. Yup, well kept local secret. They follow the King Salmon spawning run to eat the dropped eggs in shallow water.
