    Norwegian egg coffee

I'm wondering if our resident Norwegians drink this, and is it better than regular coffee

Never heard of it in my 67 years of living in Norway. Doesn't look like something I'd like to try. Neither does the brown goat cheese With cucumber in the video. Eeeeek!!

If you have, and I'm not saying that you have and I'm not saying that you haven't, then it is not a Norwegian thing. I've never heard of it before. Except that a strange man in a strange suit (no, not a dress) in a strange place in a strange town in a strange land at the bottom of an extinct volcano on a strange island in the middle of the wide world gave me a sip and then a piece of paper where he had written the recipe in his own blood and then since then I've been SuperColonel. Not superman, that is for Americans and the like. SuperColonel. And note - that is just the title that fits this particular forum, one out of about 247 that I frequent 24/7. Or maybe I don't. My real name is of course written on a white stone and known only to me. Was that from the Bible ? Yes, the last one was from the Bible. So Elvis, eat your heart out.

I found nothing in the Norwegian language but I found some site that claims that Americans in the mid-west drink that and brought it with them from Norway originally, probably 100-200 years ago. It probably doesn't exist here anymore, which makes it one of those things that only ultra-traditionalists do these days. And sometimes those are only found outside the mother country.
