Thread: What did you make to eat today?

  1. #191
I have no idea what its called.

Some bell peppers, red onions, chicken tenders, with a splash of olive oil and some salt and pepper. Cover chicken with taco seasoning and pour salsa, bake for 20 minutes, service over rice add, black beans and corn.

What is that called? Lunch for the next few day as well.

Unless you're doing some fasting for spiritual reasons you need to eat and take some vitamins, you've got some exciting things coming up like your trip to Israel!

    15 degrees outside.

Time for a pot of chili. One bowl and I'm full, but sure tastes good on a cold day. Leftovers are still good for tomorrow (another freezing cold day).

I made a BIG pot of Chili yesterday and will be having leftovers tonight.

Is it just me, but does every batch of soup or chili taste different?

Mine is always good (if I must say so myself), but it never tastes the same as the last batch.

I made 15 bean soup. I forgot how much it makes. It's only me and Elijah eating it....Ellenie doesn't want any. I don't know that I can continue eating much more of it....

I guess it depends on how many ingredients you use but yes, sometimes the same recipe can vary in taste a little. My personal theory is that the taste or quality of the veggies used can vary, as in for example, sometimes the onions can be strong or mild? Same with other ingredients used.

Just curious, do you all eat your chili with crackers or not? I always have to have oyster crackers with mine. :)

Is it freezable? I like to freeze leftovers I'm tired of so that on another day when I don't feel like cooking but still want a home cooked meal all I have to do is defrost and warm it back up.

I know many people like crackers, biscuits or cornbread with their Chili - and many put shredded cheese, and sour cream on top too, but I just eat mine straight - Nothing else added.

Although, sometimes I'll have a couple slices of Garlic Toast with it.

I have a few roasting ears of corn in the freezer and they might taste good about now.
