Now this is American gallon which would equate to 3.785 liters.

$1.99 gallon equates to 0.52 cents liter....which is cheap cheap cheap

We pay a minimum of $1 litre for cheapest milk but most is higher

Imported orange juice (with the fruit sugar intact) is cheaper and can cost less than $1 per liter. The benefit is that our food is mostly far safer than food generally is in the US, for instance we use about 1/50 of the antibiotics used in the US (per unit) and no hormones to boost production. And so on.

Seems milk prices are continuing to go down, at least in Metro Detroit, Kroger has it on sale for $1.69 this week. So how much is it going for in your area whether you're in the US or not?

It is on sale this week for $2.50. Several months ago it was over $4.00.

Milk prices keep going down in my area. Tonight at Kroger I got a gallon of milk for $1.29...and a dozen large eggs were only 39 cents.

In our area, Aldi's has milk for 97 cents a gallon. It has been that for about 3 weeks. Before that it was $1.17. Other stores it is $2.69 and up.
