I'm more curious about the texture, is it a really 'wet' cake? That's a whole lotta milk to be pouring on cake.

I've made it once...my husband loves it...and it was VERY moist. I've also taken a bite of my husband's at a Cuban restaurant, and that one was swimming in milk.

I've had a piece of one they have at Prince Valley supermarket on Michigan near Livernois, it's pretty wet but not 'swimming'..

It is incredibly moist, but not wet. This dessert sounds like it would be heavy, but it is incredibly light. I used a recipe I got from YouTube, but cannot find it now, but it works well with a white or yellow cake mix, rather than making the cake from scratch. I simply pour the batter into a rectangular cake pan. Delish!

I'll take a picture the next time we eat at the Cuban restaurant. :)

Y'all inspired me to go eat Cuban last night. My girlfriend ordered Tres Leches, so I was able to take a photo for the doubters....and below you will have Tres Leches swimming in milk:
