I didn't know that was Polish....I've made something very similar here. I think it's Southern.

That looks good! I just saw a recipe on FB that I might try.

It's orange chicken, just barbecue sauce, orange marmalade and soy sauce. I would probably add some red pepper flakes because I like heat, but it seems like a very simple recipe.

I like this....put everything into a freezer bag, then when you're ready for it, pull it out of the freezer and dump it into the crockpot.

I make something similar that I call kielbasa stew...I reduce the amount of liquid and add a can of tomato soup and some barley.

Now that's a great idea! I like to pre-prep things for those days when you're in a hurry or just don't feel like getting too involved with cooking.

I love me some Barley. Heidi gave me a recipe for barley soup that I've made several times.

I found their facebook page, good stuff and looks like they're Christians too by some of their posts there:

Then you've got to try the kielbasa stew, makes it so much more hearty and yummy.

Thanks, Lista, what a great link. I'm all for easy food prep. The mix recipes remind me of "Homemade Gourmet".

I often do my own concoction of things like the onion soup mix, although I only do it at the time of cooking, not keeping it on hand. Iow, I just throw in what I "think" are similar ingredients.

I really WANT to be one of those of people who preps on the weekend for the coming week, but it never seems to work out that way.
