2018 Dream - Jesus the Centre

This dream was in February 2018.
Fuego asked for fresh manna so hopefully 14 months is fresher than 10 years from my last dream posting

Jesus is the Centre not Formulas
Felt impressed to pray these verses in the last 2-3 months of 2017 and early 2018. Told the Lord I don’t fully understand these verses but to make them real in my life and show me what they mean.

    Colossians 3:1-4
v1 - If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
v2 - Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
v3 - For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
v4 - When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

I was standing outside but not sure where and suddenly a powerful force enveloped me and began to lift me vertically upwards. I felt the sensation of being propelled rapidly through the air at supersonic speed. As this was happening a tremendous exhilaration swept over me as the joy and energy was overwhelming.

I was aware of my surroundings and enjoying the experience of going higher and higher but then I looked upwards and realised there was a greater reason for this encounter.
The whole of the sky was covered in clouds apart from an opening directly above me where I was heading. The clouds formed a circular/oval type opening which was at the CENTRE of the sky.

This was an opening into heaven and I saw the Lord Jesus Christ standing in this opening in his full bodily form with his arms outstretched.
As I was ascending rapidly towards him a cry of praise and ecstasy came over me and I began to shout out his name …Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus Christ.

I had no other words except to call out his wonderful awesome name - It was all about HIM and his NAME.

It is difficult to explain the emotion and feeling but this scripture explains some of it
1 Peter 1:8 - … you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory,

The sensation seemed like what the future rapture of believers would experience even though it wasn’t the literal rapture.

As I continued rapidly ascending and got closer to the Lord then suddenly Jesus disappeared and the opening was empty. When he disappeared I immediately stopped ascending and just hovered in mid-air.

I wasn’t sure why I stopped and why Jesus disappeared but as I looked at the opening all these formulas began to flow out. Different types of formulas like you learn at school when studying algebra.
One formula was actually 3 specific words. Word A + Word B = Word C.

I was very puzzled. I did not feel anything evil or demonic but I knew something wasn’t right - The joy and exhilaration was gone but worst of all Jesus was gone.

I was still suspended in mid-air not going down but no longer going up. Jesus was no longer at the centre so I could not go higher. I felt disappointed and wanted Jesus to re-appear and this is how the dream ended.

I asked the Lord to show me the interpretation and meaning of this dream and this is what he revealed.

In the dream I represented the Christian believer and it’s God’s desire for us to grow, mature and take us ever upward until we finally meet with Jesus in glory.

We will only go higher spiritually if Jesus is the main focus and is the central theme in our lives.
At times it may not seem that way especially when trials and difficulties come but nonetheless we go higher if we keep our eyes on him and he remains the focal point.

The formulas I saw speak of man’s ways, concepts and ideas becoming the focus at the expense of Jesus.
We can see this with unsaved humans who do not have God in their lives but even as Christians we can assume we are focused on Christ but subtly he can be removed and replaced with our agenda and programs.

In the dream I stopped ascending when Jesus was removed from the centre and was replaced with formulas. Doesn’t mean I was no longer saved but I had lost my focus.

As humans it is easier to trust in formulas than God and over the years many believers as well as leaders and churches have replaced Jesus with formulas and not realized they have stopped ascending spiritually. They can even have many blessings and outwardly appear they are leading the way in how we should follow Christ.

The church is always looking for ‘success’ and many conferences, preaching/teaching is centered on how to have more blessing, get bigger, more prominent, more wealth etc. etc. and it mostly revolves around formulas or concepts. Is this success built on Christ or just copying the world?????

We can even twist scripture into formulas to justify our own desires.

God gives ideas and quickens verses which we need to ‘stand on’ and use to release blesses for ourselves, family and others.

But we should always make sure Jesus is not forgotten even when we stand on a quickened verse.

Scripture becomes a formula when we separate Jesus from HIS WORD and run with our favorite verses BEYOND what God intended.

Believers can end up knowing more about formulas than having an active relationship with the crucified and risen son of God - Jesus Christ.

There is a place to quote and stand on scripture but if it remains only robotic and 'parrot like' we can miss that the Holy Spirit intends us to see Jesus and what he wants to accomplish.

It also applies when someone goes through a difficulty and well-meaning Christians throw a verse at them assuming that should comfort or heal them when it’s just harsh and cold.

God’s Word is powerful and sets us free but make sure you don’t worship the scripture and forget about Jesus who is the living Word. The Pharisees ended up worshipping verses and were blind to Jesus.

John 5:39 - You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

Mar 12:24 - Jesus answered and said to them, "Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?

Greek word for ‘know’ is important because it means to perceive and discern
    Thayer Definition:
    1) to see
1a) to perceive with the eyes

1b) to perceive by any of the senses
1c) to perceive, notice, discern, discover

Hopefully anyone who reads this will be inspired to keep Jesus at the centre and look upward towards him.
Let us all examine our lives and rightly place Jesus as the main focal point which will ultimately produce the greatest blessings, joy and glory when we finally meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The end result of our life is to to be glorified with the exalted and glorious Son of God
Colossians 3:4 - When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
