It occurred to me while chewing on all this that there is another Abomination of Desolation which has been present in Jerusalem since about 692 AD. It is called the dome of the rock, and is the work of islam, who totally desire to desolate all Jews and Christians. Maybe it will be swallowed up when that great earthquake separates the city into 3 parts.

You could be right. I have a similar question along the same line. What do you think God is going to do with all of those minarets scattered all over the world? Some of them are truly works of art but all of them take the form of a phallic symbol. They are intended as an offence as are the proclamations broadcast from them 5 times per day. But won't the world scream if God destroys all of them? Would that wake the Church up about God's opinion about Islam? And seriously, no Christian should even consider attacking symbols and artifacts of Islam without God's direct participation. I really don't like Allah at all but I think I'll let God do the job of eliminating that particular demonic powerhouse. And if God comes looking for a volunteer to do the job we will need to have a serious conversation.

Yeah, God will deal with them in His own time and His own way. Meanwhile, we are tasked with loving them and trying to bring them into the kingdom of light and out of the kingdom of darkness. That is not always an easy thing either.

Recorded historical facts confuse you? Don't know what to say. Can't help you if you willingly ignore church history.

    2 Timothy 4:8
    New King James Version

8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
    Hebrews 9:28
    New King James Version

28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
IF the church were raptured before Jesus is revealed from heaven, then who exactly would love His appearing on the earth? Certainly not the sinners.

We have scripture declaring that He will appear a 2nd time for those who eagerly await Him. Could you please show me a scripture which emphatically shows that He will appear a 3rd time?

    Luke 17:24-30
    New King James Version

24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
    2 Thessalonians 1:6-10
    New King James Version

6 since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

Those scriptures testify of the same event-the 2nd Coming of Jesus! Just like Noah, we will go into the "Ark" and the wrath of God will be poured out. One event. Just like Lot, as we are leaving the sinful dwelling behind, the flaming fire Paul spoke about in 2 Thessalonians chapter 1 will be poured out upon the ungodly. Again, one event.

There is no scriptural support for your 3rd coming doctrine bro.

And there is way more evidence that the church will go through GREAT TRIBULATION than any theological theory which says otherwise.
