But we are carriers of HIS presence...which brings us back to the OP...the church is lukewarm with compromise and self....But God is calling us to a deeper consecration so the world can witness HIS glory manifest in and through US...which points back to the article in the OP

It would be great if we got to where it is as easy to believe as it was when people were around Jesus.

Thomas did have enough faith, mustard seed perhaps but faith nonetheless. Doubt is not unbelief. It's Him that is always faithful.

Not to single out Thomas. Jesus had those that were of unbelief and even His own 12 where He would remark “oh ye of little faith”. Faith was the major key in all of it, whether commendable or the rebuke-able unbelief.

It was in that environment where a miracle usually settled the matter.

Malachi... "test me in this" seems to be written for the doubter. Not unbelief which is a different level.

Telling people that they should have faith like the people that were around Jesus when he healed the sick doesn't seem to work that well. There is something that is lacking in the wake of his physical presence. How can we undo that lack ?

Thatmay be why we have prophets and other five fold ministry gifts who are specially gifted to some degree or the other to carry his manifest essence with them more than the usual average Joe but if your comments are to go by you seem to be very suspicious of those .
