So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

One has to conclude that all that a person is doing after having committed adultery in their past is of man and not the Holy Spirit leading, not the concept of forbidding them from serving because they ever did...now THAT would be a different discussion IMHO..
Why would the Holy Spirit go against the word of God in these matters?

He would not go against the word of God...it's yet to actually be proven that your interpretation of scripture is HIS interpretation.
Seems to me your interpretation holds some scriptural contradictions...but all those have already been presented..no need to rehash.

So, these are the words of Paul? His suggestions of the day?

No contradictions at all, there are very plain scriptures that define moral ministry.

That's an interesting interpretation, that an overseer has to step down if his children suddenly become rebellious. I think that is a matter of stretching things too far. The person's general reputation with outsiders should be more important, even when that changes some time after he became overseer, and especially if he is clearly at fault for that.

The WORD of God is true! It may not be to your liking but it is true nonetheless.

My belief is the current Charismatic world is elevating the human way above what scripture intended. It reminds me of the Shepherding movement. There is only one head on the body of Christ and that is Jesus Christ.

"Once up there at the top, always up there at the top. Just do what is required of you and you're back."
It sounds like that sometimes, like it's comparable to when celebrities or executives take care of each other.
