You have to pray about it, Femme. What is good for one family may not work for another. I mean, I can say that silver and gold would be good, but that is a general instruction, not a specific one for you and yours.

As far as an economic crash goes, that may be a good thing. The banks at this point are indeed too big to bail out, so if they implode, they go away, no one has the political will nor is it in the budget to prop them back up. Once that is cleared the country can rebuild. The last "crisis" should have cleared the system of miscreants but they were re-capitalized to carry on the same game. We not only lost personal wealth, the economy and jobs, the country essentially lost its dignity. We now sit in front of the TV that tells us that we are in "recovery" or that the "recession" is over, knowing full well we are being lied to, treated like fools.

We will do better the next time.

Remember, God tears down only to build up, so even if this thing has to be taken down to its foundation, He is faithful, we will be fine. Different maybe but fine.

Mine is the same as what other Christians should be...

    Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

    1 Peter 5:6,7
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Interesting you mention this.. I was talking to my husband about this.. We just got a small inheritance from my Dad and opened an account with it.

D said we have some gold and silver.. and apparently gold is down right now.. so I think he's going to investigate a bit more.

In an environment like like this you need to be less concerned about a return on your money and more concerned about a return of your money.

There's been a lot of talk that there's been market manipulation with both gold and silver, so that it could be scooped up at a low price, and boast a very high yield when the crash comes. Is this absolutely true? I dunno, but it's probable. Also, make sure you have PHYSICAL silver and gold you can put your hands on, not certificates.

Even on this forum, I doubt that even 90% of posters here are prepared for what is coming. What most people say is that when/if a collapse comes, they will just, "trust God". That's fine, but God has set watchmen/messengers/prophets in the Church to warn about what is coming. I tried to have this discussion 6 years ago at my old Church and I was met with:

-We can't speak doom and gloom because our words have creative power, and it will come to pass
-Y2K was a dud, and therefore, we don't really know if any talk of a financial crises will really pan out
-And other assorted, "I don't want to know the truth" sort of platitudes

    BTW, I don't call myself a prophet.

The only thing a Christian can do is to hear what God is saying to THEM PERSONALLY. Different cities and different regions will have different concerns.

Quest, who is boasting, and what do you mean by that? I think that most prophets that have warned for years have wept in their prayer closet that:

That was part of the message...I share it because there will be some who get tripped into judgment toward brethren not participating in the battle...I have no one in particular in mind...but the warning was clear and to be kept in mind incase the enemy tries to ensnare..
-The Church cannot even discern the voice through His messengers.....people cannot even recognize Jesus when He is literally speaking through His people....to warn, to lead, to prepare
-When a collapse comes, most people will not be prepared spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, or in the natural
-Much of the western Church world has embraced the gospel of positive thinking, more than the gospel of The Cross.

I recall sitting in a Walmart parking lot about 7 years ago with tears running down my face, looking at my husband and saying, "I'm grieving for my country, and I know I have to say goodbye to her". I have also had several dreams of warning and what was coming with regard to a financial collapse, inflation, and how God would keep me. But most people handwaive away anything that doesn't comport with the gospel of positive thinking, and so people don't want to "go there" in their thinking.

So to be honest with you, I don't even mention this stuff to people at my Church, because much of my Church has embraced that damnable doctrine called a-millenialism, which is heavily promoted in Renewel circles such as Bethel and others. "The world is getting better and better" says Chris Vallotton (I heard his teaching on MP3 and that is verbatim what he said).

So my family and I spend time in prayer for our Church family because we know when all this goes down, they will be shell-shocked and unprepared. I weep for my Church family. I don't know ANYONE who is boastful, so I find your comment here a bit strange.
I hear you sis..I went through that grieving about 2 years ago..at that same time the Lord made it clear that the focus had to be on HIS KINGDOM only and not any kingdom of this world. That is why I will be paying virtually ZERO attention to the political hoopla of the media anymore...I don't need to 'follow' current events other than a glance and a prayer...it's prophesy unveiling but I must simply keep MY eyes on HIM so that I am where I need to be in the body to be effective as He has called and equipped me to be...that is not 'I' centered..but just the opposite. I don't have the solutions for the world or the political. I must be the best finger or toe or eye or ear that I can be by keeping totally focused on HIM, what He is saying and doing to me and through me...otherwise deception will convince me that my worry and ranting and political support will make a difference...it won't unless I have followed HIM there...

He knows this.. we have some coins, etc already.

John.. can you be a bit more specific in your "of" .. I'm not overly concerned about making a lot of money on my small amount.. but are you saying choose a good bank? The one we opted for was started by a christian man, and still holds to those principles.

    or is it something else?

I"m sorry, I don't usually do the money stuff.. so i'm flying blind here.
