    2016 Prophecies

Have come across 2 words by recognized ministers.

    1. Rick Joyner on Panthers winning Superbowl....http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/...-comes-to-pass

I struggle to see how winning a football game can be linked to revival

    2. Kenneth Copeland doesn't prophecy in the normal sense but says strongly what he believes is from God
    http://endtimeheadlines.org/2016/02/...ext-president/

Rick was wrong as Panthers lost Superbowl...should he apologise?

What happens if KC is wrong and Cruz doesn't become Prez

IMO making sporting prophecies that speak of national revival doesn't make sense

Just because the Panthers lost this time, it doesn't mean they won't win in the future.

What if Bob Jones' Panthers Super Bowl Prophecy Comes to Pass?

Are the Carolina Panthers prophesied to win the Super Bowl to bring about national revival?

Perhaps, according to Rick Joyner. The prophetic voice looks back to a prophecy Bob Jones received in the 1980s in a recent episode of Prophetic Perspectives on Current Events With Rick Joyner.

"When our Carolina Panthers won the Super Bowl, this was a time of major revival, awakening, moves of God are going to break out in America," Joyner says in the video.

Joyner compares Jones to a "seer prophet" like Samuel.

The story of the Panthers goes like so:

"(Jones) called me one day after I'd already come to really respect and appreciate his gift, but he calls me and says, 'The Black Panthers are coming to Charlotte,'" Joyner recalls. "He wasn't sure what it meant, and I said, 'Sounds like an attack.' And said, 'It may be. I don't know.'"

Was it Bob Jones who was wrong? Was Joyner just repeating him?

There is still a degree of accountability how you present this publically

What happens to all the thousands of believers who were believing and expected Panthers to win 2016
What about the unsaved who now have reasons to reject the gospel?

I believe what is happening is that leaders and Christians are so DESPERATE for revival (which I understand)... that many are jumping to all sorts of conclusions and prophecies without really hearing from God. They may have heard a bit of revelation and they turn it into a 100% accurate word

I still find it really hard to accept that revival will occur on the outcome of a football game
Yes the panthers may win in the future but what if they don't win at all or they win in 2056???

We also have to accept not matter how much we enjoy Rick Joyner or Bob Jones they are still human and could of got it wrong

My concern is similar to Lionheart regarding the current prophetic ministry
Many words are just spiritual sounding hot air

The Bible does say to judge prophesy even if its from a respected leader

How Rick addresses this is important but he put his name on the line. They were obviously good friends

There is nothing wrong in saying the 'prophecy' was inaccurate.

Some will attack RJ and BJ as false prophets which I disagree with - this doesn't make them false prophets only fallible humans

One funny comment on the Charisma site was...

It is sad to hear that my carnal desires are hindering revival. GO BRONCOS!
What about the thousands of believers who wanted the Broncos to win. Are they supposed to feel guilty they rebelled against God's Word.
This is why I find sporting prophecies to be largely insignificant

I'm a North Carolinian and a diehard panthers fan. If I saw this yesterday, I would have rooted for the Broncos instead. Almost glad they won now. As a Christian this is downright embarrassing. Congrats on having a 50/50 chance of sounding really prophetic and gaining a hoard of gullible followers.

I didn't watch the whole video but per the points made especially between the 3 and 5 minute mark, in 1988 Jones said that "the black panthers are coming to Charlotte...they're coming to the lumber yard in Charlotte" and he was right.

The 'Panthers' with their logo of a black panther came to Charlotte and their stadium was built on an old lumber yard. Then Joyner starts talking about how stadiums are being built for the purpose of preparing to hold crowds for revivals. I didn't heard anything in regards to them specifically being prophesied to win the Super Bowl this year.
