Most of my family and friends are catholic and I find it refreshing that ever since the pope personally spoke with Copeland that more catholics are now open to learning more about the bible and even listening to and learning from full gospel preachers. There is even a huge charismatic movement among catholics...do you really think that's a bad thing?
Actually, he believes he can still communicate with his mom who dies several years back. I have a message of his where he talks about being able to still communicate with loved ones that have died in the spirit... that is talking to demons and is condemned by the Lord. Catholicks believe the same thing, and he was very close to his mom so when all that grief hit at her passing... that was most likely a turning point in his life when he started accepting things that are no scriptural.

Concerning the so-called charismatic movement among catholics... they are still praying to mary, they still pray the rosary, and now they are claiming that muzlims serve the same God... so following doctrines of devils means they are fallowing another jesus and another holy spirit... which is nothing more than an angel of light, aka demons playing like they are Jesus and the Holy Spirit to lead people astray.

It's your call... God's Word gives warnings of all this taking place in the end times.

If I'm going to be in agreement with these people, I'd actually be better of going back to getting drunk and doing drugs as those are just sins of the flesh and not spiritual sins which are far worse considering they deceive people where as everybody know partying is wrong... well, that's changing now too since some Christians think you can enjoy intoxication and still be saved in spite of God's Word saying those that practice drunkeness (intoxication) will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Being in agreement with darkness is not accepted by the Lord as we are called to be separated from the World and their practices... more and more popular preachers are placing themselves in agreement with darkness by participating in ministry with those that are being led by devils.

This has already become evident, but in the days ahead it's going to become more clear which means ALL Christians will have a choice to make... do we follow popular preachers and their feel good messages that many are following... or, do we put God's Word first place.

This is salvation critical because OSAS is a myth.

For more reasons than just this, I believe this to be true.
This is a false prophecy... if one studies what God's Word says concerning end times event we find that mankind and the world will get darker and darker as the great tribulation is coming. That will not be stopped because of the evil of men's hearts...

    Luke 17:28-30
    Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

*This cannot be referring to Jesus coming at the end of the tribulation to start His 1000 year reign as thing will definitely not be business as usual during that time.

    Luke 21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

It would be too bad for Christians to be left behind, but apparently it is entirely possible...

    1 Thessalonians 5:1-9
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night
    .
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

    Matthew 24:3-13
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ (saying I am anointed); and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

I'm not denying he said that, but I would like to hear it or you transcribe exactly what he said.

I don't remember which series of his it was but I do know that it was a series he did after his mom passed.

I remember him saying he had a hard time with his mom's passing and he said the devil made a major play to use grief to get in and he went thru some major battles at the time. It's quite possible that he succumbed to an evil spirit that was familiar with his mom and provided some comfort that was used as an open door.

I'm just the opposite and always have been... when a loved one dies, that's it... they're gone and we're done cause they went some place else and I'm still here on Club Earth.

I'm sure if you search the net, some heresy hunter will have this posted some where. At the time I hear him say this, I never made the connection until all this catholic business came up which reminded me that he talked about people being able to fellowship or communicate with their loved ones if they went to Heaven.

There is no scriptural authorization to be doing this, and it opens ones self up to familiar spirits. I'm surprised at Copeland for gushing at the pope. People change, so maybe his ministry being so big now has turned this in to a popularity contest or something where he feels the need to be in the middle of the popular thing in the church. Now that Hagin is gone, he's the mack daddy of what everyone calls the "Word of Faith Movement".

I also heard him say once that studying end times stuff was not his forte ... which is one thing that got me interested in looking at what God's Word says about end times happenings.

So then, all you really have is hearsay concerning his supposed heresy?

You should know better than that.

Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses...

    I Timothy 5:19
Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

I have his own words... I have quite a few CD series of his that I listened to over the years.

Those that support false teaching have been disqualified to lead Christians... they are relegated to leading false believers.

Paul wrote about some that embraced false teaching and he let them go, refused to be associated with them anymore because they refused to repent.

There is a reason why Jesus said wide is the path to destruction and many be that go in that way... but narrow is the path to life and few be that find it.

It would be in your best interest to take the entire New Testament seriously and quit following those that are members of Cherry Pickers R Us

But, whatever... you do your thang, I'll do mine and in the end we'll see where everybody lands as well as which preachers taught truth and which ones got caught up in deception and led many into deception

It's getting seriously freaky how many preachers are embracing catholics and have no problem being under rome... the great whore of babylon!

    It's really sad...

    There is an old saying...

    Put up or shut up.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

FT, your word is hearsay and possibly slander unless you can prove this. I have heard a lot through the years where people took his words out of context and misrepresented the message...

Like some believe, I think he uses Hebrews 12:1 to "prove" we can have communication with those that are in Heaven. It may have been his series "The Life Cycle And The Death Cycle" that he did after his mom died where he mentions that we can still have a relationship with loved ones that have gone on to Heaven.

This is not something new as I've heard others claim this is true based on Hebrews 12:1 so this belief is not that uncommon, especially among catholics and other false religions.
