I can see that, he's joining the ranks of Jackson and Sharpton.

One of the pastors that met with Trump was from Richmond. Seems like a good man from all I can tell.

I don't see a problem with any minister meeting with any person. Jesus didn't seem to have a problem with it, Dr. Bryant shouldn't either.

I agree. I'm not a Trump fan, but dialoguing shouldn't be an issue. Hearing what someone has to say isn't a big deal.

I forgot Bryant was in Maryland until you reminded me. What did he run for, Susan?

Steve Parsons seems to have pretty much disappeared from what I can tell. I have become good friends with someone who was with Parsons in the early days and left years ago when Steve got crazy and then went to Faith Landmarks. She was there for 12 years I think...and now is a member of our Church. She's awesome. Parsons has some ministry called Faith Alive Ministries, but I don't know what it's about or what it entails. I think RCC went into foreclosure. You might know more than I do. I just know Parsons isn't a big presence at all in Richmond anymore. Sad, really.

Elijah Cummings congressional seat. That's why I think someone took him aside and said, "Hold on there..." As far as I know, EC is not retiring.

    Oh Ok .. :)

I wouldnt say Parson went crazy . He did go through a divorce which left many scratching their heads and caused a lot of rumor and innuendo but I wouldn't term his actions as crazy

In any case Parson was one of the pastors who met with Trump. Ministry wise he seems to be thriving or at least doing ok . Not like RCC was but he has a TV program and all

Kinda surprised though about this Trump endorsement because he was never really one to be political and I do find the Trump endorsement somewhat strange but .... to each his own I guess

There he is next to Omarosa

Well, I'll put the "crazy" thing into perspective. Parsons basically found a new, young, thang, down in Brazil and got her pregnant before his divorce. I've always wanted to learn from other people's mistakes so I asked my friend about the downfall of RCC and all of the stuff that went on when there was a mass exodus when Steve married the Brazilian chick. She basically said it could be summed up by saying, "Pastor Steve got greedy and basically lost it". Now she is not one to talk bad about any minister, but she was pretty clear about this, and she still really wouldn't badmouth Steve, and she said she still prays for him. You might know her, I dunno. She is best friends with the Lusters. She's an awesome woman of God and I do trust her discernment and judgment. She did say that the "new wife" went back to Brazil and left the children here. Again, it's very sad.

That said, I didn't even notice Parsons in the video when I first saw it!

    Lol

Yeah I heard about the Brazilian thingy and that's basically the conventional wisdom that ex-members hold. But Parson has been steadfast in his denial of Adultery or Infidelity and truth is their marriage had had issues long before Brazil became an issue .

I guess being divorced myself I am less inclined to believe that the Man is always wrong or that the ability to move forward with your life after divorce implies wrongdoing or some hanky panky beforehand so I just dont know .

Some say he should have been more forthcoming and transparent if indeed nothing wrong took place as to the actual cause of the divorce which could then mean trashing his ex-wife which is another can of worms ..

Anyway he seems to be doing Ok and the ex-wife herself from what I hear has a ministry
