Interesting comments. Pretty much opposite from what I'm reading in all the comments elsewhere.

Pence has no chance of being president. The Trump crowd won't support him and he can't win without them.

Depending on where you look, you'll get a wide spectrum of opinions. Comments on Breitbart.com won't look anything like those on NYtimes.com, for example.
I would say that the least cynical view of VP Pence's actions would be that although he would prefer that he and President Trump continue to hold office for the next four years, he decided that he shouldn't unilaterally declare that to be the result, for the following reasons:
a) He believes the Constitution doesn't give him the power to decide who should be elected. (And by deciding which electors to accept or reject, he would essentially be making that decision.)
b) He believes that if he were to try to decide who should be elected, he would end the Republic as we know it by making the votes of individual citizens essentially meaningless.
c) He believes that the vote tallies were basically accurate. As a law school graduate, he understands that courts-of-law take the quality of evidence seriously, and having seen that judges who were appointed by President Trump rejected the presented evidence, he concluded that the evidence could not be trusted.

There were envelopes handed out at the Bush funeral. Pense got one, along with Hillary, Obama and others. There has been much speculation as to what was written in those notes but it's interesting only the most corrupt top level politicians got one. I have seen videos and read things that accuse Pence of evil things.
He had to choose his side last night. That he did.
Just my opinion.

Only time will tell regarding Pence.
I'm wondering if we are watching a game of 3D chess and only able to see part of the board. We'll see.

I've heard it referred to as 5D. So many levels and possibilities.

Per the underlined not true .. the cases were dismissed based on standing .. the courts never looked at the evidence ..

Unfortunately, Trump didn't have the best lawyers. Rudy Giuliani is WAY past his prime. Trump needed people who would be straight with him, I don't think he had that in the end. As far as Pence, I think he wanted off the crazy train.

I think Vice President Pence would be a good choice for the GOP in 2024. He's a political conservative who actually holds conservative values.
