Makes me wonder if it's a result of the BLM Movement?

And while it's not a bad or negative thing, as a POC, if almost feels like the companies are pandering or patronizing
It can be pandering. Marketers have known for a long time that POC have MUCH higher brand loyalty. It's all a numbers game, highest return on investment, so do you sell 2 hamburgers to a white lady or a lifetime of them to a POC. The better investment is to target POC.

I used to have Marketing Departments and Advertising Agencies as clients. Yes, they are "liberal" in slant but at the end of the day, they have to make the numbers work.

I think they are now trying to cover all bases with a focus on bi-racial couples. It can get ridiculous..

I am Asian-American, and I would far rather see no commercials featuring Asians at all than to see obvious-pandering ads.

I saw 2 DISGUSTING ads for so called Christmas movies on hallmark last night. One had kissing cowboys on it the other was the same without the cowboy attire. I guess its time to quit watching Hallmark. It is not normal for 2 men to be kissing. It is DISGUSTING. There is absolutely NOTHING ROMANTIC about it. And there never will be. It is DERANGED.

Yeah, Zeke - I saw that Hallmark "Kissing Cowboys" trailer too - There was a petition floated by the *Million Moms* group recently about it.

If they can get to Hallmark, they can get to anyone.

I wouldn't describe myself as "never-Trumper" (which implies someone who would rather have a Democrat be president,) as I am a "there-were-many-other-better-Republicans" Trumper.

On a one-to-ten scale of how good a president one would be, someone like Elizabeth Warren or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would be a 1, on the bottom. Trump would be a 5. Someone like Ted Cruz or Ben Sasse would be a 9.

So while I would take level-5 Trump over level-1 Warren, I'd still rather take a level-9 Sasse if given the opportunity.

But you voted for Evan McMullin which was really a vote for Hillary.

Sure, but since Texas was going to go for Trump anyway, I could then say I kept my hands clean of Trump.

By the way, my liberal acquaintances claim that "a vote for McMullin was a vote for Trump" because I didn't vote Hillary. So the accusation goes both ways and it evens out.
