It definitely would not be more fun, but if certain elements keep proving themselves to be domestic enemies of our Constitution it could happen. There are thousands of us who once swore to protect our Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign & Domestic. I am not aware of an expiration date on that military oath.
This is why our founders put the 2nd Amendment into place- to keep the tyrants in check.
Martial law would be a bad mistake at this point in the game. We need to let the legal process take its course.

Martial law is in fact legal. A remedy of last resort but legal nonetheless.

While it may be legal, it would be horrible optics for President Trump right now. It would convince people that he is every bit the monster that the media has painted him as. Patriots would not have a problem with it, but lets face it; America has a dire shortage of actual patriots right now.

Regarding the use of federal military force to desegregate schools in the 50's and 60's, court orders had been issued and the local officials were defying those orders. That was the rationale for the use of federal military force (at least in the case of IKE's interventions). I don't believe the same conditions apply today as no court orders requiring a revote have been issued.

The power resides solely with the President.
The Insurrection Act of 1807 is a United States federal law (10 U.S.C. §§ 251–255; prior to 2016, 10 U.S.C. §§ 331–335; amended 2006, 2007) that empowers the President of the United States to deploy U.S. military and federalized National Guard troops within the United States in particular circumstances, such as to suppress
civil disorder, insurrection and rebellion.
The act provides a "statutory exception" to the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which limits the use of military personnel under federal command for law enforcement purposes within the United States.
This is the relevant bit:
to address an insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination or conspiracy, in any state, which results in the deprivation of Constitutionally-secured rights, and where the state is unable, fails, or refuses to protect said rights.

It's not unusual for the Federal Government to become involved in issues where civil rights have been violated, even on a much lesser scale and supervise the process of restoring those rights, it happens all the time.
I looked this up after I asked and it seemed to have to do with re-doing the elections and them being supervised by the military and both sides being equally able to monitor the count.

Yes, that is the proposed remedy. Some are making it out to be a Mad Max scenario.

The dems and media will certainly paint that scenario.
