    I'm not sure I know what you mean. If you're asking has God ever asked me to do something that I said "no" to, I really can't remember. I have, by my actions, obviously said no on occasion, but I don't think of it as "ignoring" God. I think of ignoring God as acting as if He doesn't exist. I've never done that. At least not consciously.

    I don't believe it's possible for a true born again Christian to "ignore" God.
    Jesus did not agree according to what He taught in Mark 4:14-20... notice some received the Word, so are you saying if someone receives God Word on salvation, that they did not actually receive it? That would be judging the intent and sincerity of a person's heart which is something you cannot know according to 1 Corinthians 2:11 so your statement is something you cannot know about a person.

    If you ever knew the Lord was leading you to do something, and you decided you were not going to do it... that is sin. (James 4:17)

    All Christians have done this... bunches of times. We should be learning and growing where we quit saying no to the leading of the Holy Spirit. This would be dying to sellf and taking up His Life within us and allowing the Lord to live and walk in us.

    Did you go before the Lord and confess your sin so He could in turn cleanse you of all unrighteousness that you had just committed when deciding to reject the Lord's leading which is sowing to the flesh which causes corruption?

    When acting on 1 John 1:9... one is choosing to sow to the Spirit, enabling the Lord to apply His shed Blood on the sin we have committed after getting born again.

    So Christ's sacrifice is similar to the OT sacrifices where atonement had to be renewed again and again? The superiority of Christ's sacrifice for sin is that it was "once and for all." There is no more sacrifice for our sins--even our future sins. ALL our sins were atoned for at the cross. If you don't believe that, you must believe that if a person commits even a minor sin and dies before applying the blood afresh to that sin (ala 1 John 1:9), he will go to hell. For no one can enter heaven with even one minor sin accounted to their record.

    OK, well that settles it... some things God put in His Bible... are lies!

    You could understand this IF you understood that... this is about walking with God. God requires that we allow Him to live in us and walk in us so He can be our God and we can be His peoples (2 Corinthians 6:16,17)

    Yes, Jesus paid for all sin of every man that ever walked the face of this earth... but it is laid up in reserve and is not automatically applied to men.

    Until, they come to the Lord so that they may have life:

    John 5:39
    Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
    And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.


    Hebrews 4:16 says to come boldly to the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy... without engaging the Father in personal relations thru Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit... one is rejecting the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ!

    What you are talking about is that the Blood of Jesus washes us clean and no relationship is expected by the Lord as though He does not require us to receive Him as first in our lives, anything less is idolatry.

    The reason WHY Jesus went to the Cross is to make a way for man to enter in to a relationship with the Father... it's the purpose of the Gospel.

    Apparently, it is possible to "draw back unto perdition" meaning it's possible to turn away from God and no longer be saved due to rejecting having a relationship with God by walking in faith.

    Colossians 1:21-23

    In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
    If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven

    *The Father says where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18) the “hope of the Gospel” is the mind of Christ, seeing things from Jesus' perspective which is the wisom from God that comes from above instead of following the wisdom from below which is earthly, sensual, and devilish (James 3:15)

    Isaiah 55:7
    Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

    One prominent extreme grace teacher claims 1 John 1:9 was not written to Christians, and those that follow agree. Some even say we don't ever have to ask for forgiveness because Jesus removed all our sin and we are now sin free which contradicts 1 John 1, verses 8 and 10... which clearly indicates none of us are perfect in the literal sense yet due to only one third of our being (our spirit) being regenerated and the other two thirds of our being (our soul and body) still waiting to be renewed.

    They certainly don't want to talk about these scriptures... which say, if anybody practices these things... they will NOT be going to Heaven!

    Farm Truck, so do you believe if a person dies immediately after sinning, before they apply 1 John 1:9, they will go to hell? If not, why not? Are you saying a person can get into heaven with even one small sin on their account?
