The riots are not about George Floyd or racial justice....

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...

Tucker Carlson: The riots are not about George Floyd or racial justice. They'''re about Trump and seizing power | Fox News

For the past week, all of us have seen chaos engulf our beloved country. The violence and the destruction have been so overwhelming, so shocking, and awful and vivid on the screen, that it's been hard to think clearly about what's going on.

Most of us haven't been able to step back far enough to ask even the obvious questions. The most obvious, of course, is what is this really about? What do the mobs want?

Well, thugs looting the Apple Store can't answer that question. They have no idea. They just want free iPads. But what about Apple itself and the rest of corporate America, which is enthusiastically supporting the rioters? What about members of Congress, the media figures, the celebrities, the tech titans, all of whom are cheering this on. What do they want out of it?

Well, they haven't said. That's the central mystery.

Now suddenly, it is obvious. It should have been obvious on the first day. This is about (God using) Donald Trump. Of course, it is. We just couldn't see it.

For normal people, Donald Trump is the president. You may like him, you may not like him, but either way, there will be another president at some point, and we will move on as we always have.

But for Donald Trump's enemies, there is nothing else. Everything is about Trump. Everything.

Donald Trump defines their friendships, their careers, their marriages. Donald Trump affects how they raise their children. Trump occupies the very center of their lives. As long as Donald Trump remains in the White House. They feel powerless and diminished and panicked. So they cannot be happy.

In everything they do, their overriding goal is to remove Donald Trump from office. And that's exactly what they're trying to do now. That's what these riots are about. The most privileged in our society are using the most desperate in our society to seize power from everyone else.

Got that? That's the nub of it. The most privileged are using the most desperate to seize power from the rest of us. They are not seeking racial justice. If they were seeking racial justice, they wouldn't be denouncing their fellow Americans for their race, which they are. It has nothing to do with it.

What they are seeking is total control of the country. And it goes without saying that none of this has anything to do with George Floyd. Shame on those who pretended that it did -- those who fell for the lie and those who knew better but played along because they are cowards. There are many of those. You know who they are, and someday we will look back on all of them with contempt.

Meanwhile, the many people promoting this chaos remain clear-eyed. They are not lying to themselves. They never do. They know exactly what's going on, and they know what they hope to achieve by it. With every night of rioting, they grow bolder.

Now, they are openly defending violence on television....

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

Absolutely, the rioters are being played. And their rioting isn't about the death either, it's just the lawless at heart satisfying their evil heart. But the liberals and media are using them for their agenda.

Bakari Sellers, CNN political commentator: People worry about the protesters and the looters. And it is just people who are frustrated.

Don Lemon, CNN anchor: They are frustrated, and they are angry, and they are out there. And they're upset. You shouldn't be taking televisions, but I can't tell people how to react to this.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.: I'm proud of the protests, and I think it is part of the tradition of New York. The violence is bad, reprehensible, and it should be condemned, but it is not the overwhelming picture in New York.

Nikole Hannah-Jones, The New York Times: Destroying property which can be replaced is not violence.

Chris Cuomo, CNN anchor Too many see the protests as the problem. Please, show me where it says that protests are supposed to be polite and peaceful.

Insanity. It's incomprehensible that they are so evil that they actually say things like this to promote an agenda.

    And even more insanity:

On Thursday, Democrats in Dallas took down the statue of a Texas Ranger from the terminal at Love Field that has stood in the airport for more than 50 years. The Texas Rangers are cops, and cops must be removed, even when they're made of bronze.

Meanwhile, the Lego toy company has ceased marketing sets that contain plastic police officers. Apparently, they're too dangerous for our children. And so on -- so much of this is going on right now.

I can. Like decent law-abiding human beings.

I think it's important to recognize the distinction between protesters, rioters, and thieves. Anyone can slip into an otherwise peaceful crowd and exploit the situation to his or her own advantage. There's clearly been a lot of that going on.

One liberal politician in my area, Mayor De Blasio of NYC, had made it very clear on a morning talk radio interview that while he supports the right of peaceful protesters, he won't tolerate the actions of the other groups.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said organized violence and looting among otherwise peaceful protests that's not always visible to crowds or in videos justifies tough policing but he's committed to quick probes and punishment for officers who cross the line. The Democratic mayor spoke in a weekly public radio Q&A as critics continued to slam him as a sellout who's completely out of touch with the "everyday New Yorkers" he often references.

"We saw horrible attacks on people and property [and] we have seen a persistent pattern in some groups of people aiming to do violence to the police, to communities, to property and are doing it systematically," de Blasio said Friday on WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show.

The mayor and NYPD are under blistering criticism with de Blasio booed and heckled yesterday when he tried to speak at a memorial for George Floyd in Brooklyn. Then, as today, he refused to broadly condemn the police response over ten days of protests but promised specific abuses are being dealt with. He spoke with Lehrer after disturbing videos and accounts from protesters and the press emerged from the Bronx's Mott Haven neighborhood last night. It showed police fencing in protesters – a process called kettling — after the 8 pm curfew then making arrests. A protestor in a video described being "locked in between walls of police hitting us with batons, hitting us with their bikes, and asking us not to resist."

"Your police turn into werewolves at 8 pm every night. Don't use robbery as an excuse," said one caller.

De Blasio countered that there was an explicit warning about that group in the Bronx. The NYPD recovered gasoline canisters on the site and there were "clear plans to do violence," he said. "The tactic is for the people to blend into the crowd. They don't say, 'We are the anarchists over here, we aim to do violence.' They blend in. Their own materials show they blend in. There's a complexity here."

He said he was out last night too, trailing a protest in Brooklyn that was what he thinks was closer to the norm in the city — "overwhelmingly peaceful protests being respected by the NYPD."
