Thread: You're a Christian who still can't support Trump? Mario Murillo

  1. #41
I'm just a bit confused why in this particular election, this particular president, lots of people got all "but he's not a good guy - I can't vote for him"

I always want to ask if they'd been that careful to check out the candidate in earlier elections.

I'm betting it would be "no"

I look at it this way.. God gave us a reprieve with Trump. Whatever comes, God gave us 4 years extension.

All I know is I will never, ever, vote for any democrat.
    ever.
    really, never ever.

That makes a lot of sense to me. The most important thing for Christians ought to be that their president doesn't actively work against them, what they believe in, their rights in terms of religious freedom. During the time after World War 2 we had a prime minister called "Einar Gerhardsen" who's seen as a social democrat of his times that moved Norway forward a lot in many areas. He was also an atheist and critical of Christianity but he wasn't the type that worked actively against religious beliefs. I'm sure that Donald Trump is better than that and that many of the Democrat candidates are far worse than that.
