    Several freshman Democrat members of the new House of Representatives majority have turned on Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her steadfast refusal to fund President Donald Trump's planned wall along the U.S. border with Mexico and are instead seeking for Democrats to cut a deal on the wall with Trump.

    Something I have observed over the years...when political parties are 'backed into a corner' and are losing ground in the public polls..real polling they do within...suddenly those further down on their totem pole begin to 'break rank' which serves to enable the leaders to save face while getting them out of the mess they are in politically...This is more prominent with Democrats as they rarely publicly criticize those who do this so they can protect them from backlash...a deal making process.


    Now it is slightly different with Republicans, as they sharply critique the 'rhinos' who regularly break rank...

    The funny thing though is when I was listening to FOX News this morning (little choice since they play it where I work) they were saying that the majority of the public is blaming Trump for the shutdown so the DEMS are digging in their heels.

    That is true. Polls and statistics are often geared to favor an agenda. My problem is that when it comes to FOX News, who gave the poll about the nation blaming Trump more than the dems, conservatives seem to think that this channel is on their side. While they do have a few good people on there, I would never trust them.

    I actually meant to say that I don't trust FOX the TV NETWORK. There are people on FOX that I have some trust in, though if I do bother to watch I listen even to them with a discerning and critical ear.
