Malaysia Election Upheaval
https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/09/asia/...lts/index.html
You don't hear much about this in the USA, but the Christians in Malaysia have been praying for major change in leadership, and looks like their prayers were answered. The previous PM came to the US last year and met Trump.
This is a big deal over there, especially that the non-Muslims minorities there (many Christian Chinese) have felt increasing marginalization (remember this is considered an official Muslim country). Some are fearing riots, and the possibility that that the current leader may do something to halt the transfer of power.
I will be there next week - going to minister in the highlands villages.

The new leader has a Muslim name as well as the former leader but what positive changes should one expect ?

Australia has close interaction with Malaysia as well as many Malay believers live here.
Everyone will be watching what the new govt will implement.
Mahathir was the old leader and surprised he won again at age 92. I thought he wasn't the best leader when he was in office previously ....interesting development
