This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
(Ephesians 4:17-18)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
(Psalm 1)

Has CNN even mentioned it? :)
There's just something about a US leader standing up firmly to the bad guys. (e.g., "Mr Gorbacev, tear down this wall."). It just works better than namby-pamby responses.
Here is another one:

Kim Jong Un may well have a new vision to get to a solution that gets him what his country needs and can turn him from Pariah to Peacemaker.
Maybe the thought process went something like this.
KJU-to-Self:
1 Hmmm, looks like those nuke tests have gone too far (and collapsed the mountain)
2 I also see that "Communist" China has done well in operating as a capitalistic model under-the-hood
3 Great Leader and Dear Leader's old school ways still are an economic mess (no disrespect, ancestors) and ain't cutting it --gotta try something radically different
4 It's time to participate in the wealth of my brothers in the South - they really want to unify, what have I got to lose?
5 And our participation in the last Olympics seemed to have generated positive buzz, especially for my "cheerleader beauties"
6 I'm tired of being the bad guy - I want the world to love me
7 Hello world, meet the new Kim Jong Un
Semi-joking aside, praying for real change from the man.
Ezekiel 33 (04-30-2018)
I can see Kim wanting the wall down. His country is dying. Yet, when he is well stocked he could in a blink find the South sleeping. I dont in the least trust him to change, can a leopard change it’s spots?

I recall the famous Reagan Quote: Trust but verify. But yes it takes awhile to prove out change and create a track record of credibility. A very slow and deliberate process and checkpoints can be expected here.
I suspect this is going to be a lot about pragmatism from KJU POV.
I expect US and SK will keep the shotgun loaded and sanctions ready regardless.
