Could Opposition to Trump Lead to Civil War?

Could tensions after a possible reelection of Trump in 2020 lead to civil war ?

No way. Never happen. The leftists use other means, things like propaganda, renegade legislation, false flags. We might might see pockets of civil unrest but I think that is unlikely. Everyone is getting jobs, earning pay checks.

Things could get out of hand even if noone planned on it. Then there are people with a lot of money who pay people without jobs to join mobs. How many unemployed people are there in the US that hate Trump ?

Unemployment is drying up. Trump is actually making it happen .. Making America Great Again.

The US labor participation rate was much higher 10-20 years ago and hasn't improved at all under Trump :

The decreasing labor participation rate is precisely what Trump used to denounce Obama's efforts to straighten out the US economy in spite of the unemployment rate improving.

The same trend as under Obama continues with Trump : the unemployment rate continues to decrease at the same rate and the labor participation rate doesn't improve at all.

    US unemployment rate :

In fact, I can't see any difference at all since 2014, based on the charts.

40 years of job destruction doesn't turn around in a year. It will take some time to restore job participation. Higher wages, demand for workers, even older workers will cause a massive shift in those numbers. Of course, the charts, like the polls will probably never catch up to reality.

I think the biggest threat to civil order is in the minority communities but Trump is bringing opportunity to everyone, the will to succeed is being matched with new opportunity.

Busy hands are happy hands, they won't go to war.

The problem at least the last two decades seems to be that each political side shifts the blame over to the other side no matter what. And the credit to themselves. So I think Fuego was right when he wrote that post above mine that became the OP here, that a reelection of Trump in 2020 will create a lot of tension. Why ? At worst they will claim that anything that undeniably got better under Trump is really because he hasn't managed to destroy the foundation that Obama created yet.

As I see it, the problem is not the President. It was not President Obama, it is not President Trump. The problem is the Democratic and Republican party's inability to work with each other. Until we break up the parties monopolies, it will make very little difference who sits in the oval, (except for appointing judges)

They don't give it much press but Trump has already wiped out a significant amount of problems created by Clinton/Bush/Obama.

    ISIS - Dead

    Obamacare Mandate - Dead

    North Korea threat - Dead

    Economy - Alive

The list goes on and on while TV bobble heads are like "russia".
