MLK, as you may or may not recall, believed in peaceful protest even when being called names, hit, spat upon, etc.
Please don't drag out MLK when you or any conservative want to use him for your biased viewpoint. Nowhere in all my posts have I advocated rioting and violence, In fact I said the violence that occurred in Charlottesville that resulted in lost lives DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN.

If you notice Col., MLK isn't here anymore. If he were, he would condemn the violence and LOST LIVES THAT DIDN'T HAVE TO HAPPEN. Tell me, aside from Heather Heyer, did any white nationalists die? Hm?
Heather was on the right side of history...her mother is absolutely right in not wanting to speak to Trump' ignorant behind.

Do you truly believe the hatred and violence against blacks is worse now than then? That blacks were not more justified then than now?
Faithfulone I am astounded that you support violence selectively...Dr. KING did not...
He experienced great personal loss of friends through violent and horrific direct and intimate murder...yet never changed his stance on violence and retaliation...
And there is no way he would have refused a meeting with the President...in fact he sought it...
I choose to be on HIS side of history...and view his message just as relevant today as it was then...

Blacks don't have the right to free speech...blacks don't have the right to protest....
Now Antifa comes along and says conservatives, not just white supremacists, don't have the right to speak and we will silence them all through violence..
Antifa shut down free speech at Berkeley University using violence, destroying private property and attacking police to prevent Milo from giving a speech he was invited to give....
Are you talking about the so-called "free speech" rally? Oh Quest dear, I'm sorry...that was just an attempt by the KKK/alt-right terrorists to bounce back after Charlottesville. I notice you all mention the Antifa group, as some kind of spokespeople for confronting bigotry and hate. They're not. In fact, I never heard of them until last week. But protesting (yes even BLM) against racism has been going on for decades. Tell me, was Rosa Parks on the wrong side of history? Her actions was the catalyst for the Civil Rights movement...she refused to give up her bus seat for a white person, breaking the law at the time. Was she wrong to do so? The answer to that question will speak volumes.

Exactly! And when our president said the same thing he was maligned and despised by some...
Tell me where Dr King's quote and the President differed...both renounced violence from ALL fronts....
PS, Dr King had a lot of support from white people too....some were murdered because of it, yet he did not change his stance...

Be astounded all you want. Your assessment of me is way off.
He experienced great personal loss of friends through violent and horrific direct and intimate murder...yet never changed his stance on violence and retaliation...
And there is no way he would have refused a meeting with the President...in fact he sought it...I kinda think he would refuse to meet Trump tho. I dunno, just a feeling. King was too smart for that. Back then, the POTUS wasn't a flaming idiot.
I choose to be on HIS side of history...and view his message just as relevant today as it was then...
Ok.

The irony . The same person lecturing us about learning history has a very limited almost parochial outlook on what constitutes history . ..
I find this all the time that many people whom denounce Trump have no idea whom ANTIFA is and what Trump was actually criticizing but yet ANTIFA is many times bigger than the right wing extremists.
They are well funded and active in many countries fomenting unrest .
