Do they cry over the expensive products we buy in the Us that were manufactured in sweat shops overseas? I do, and that is why I support our 'morally bankrupt' President.

Sometimes, people make remarks that (in their minds) are totally innocent, and "super-sensitive" peeps take offense, and are waaaaaay too quick to respond in anger, rather than in love.
Romans, what I'm trying to do here is bring "another side" to the endless narrative here on this forum. I'm sorry if you think I come across as angry, maybe I am. But it hasn't been too often in the years I've been here. I think I'm allowed a little bit of anger every once in awhile. Heck, Jesus got angry at times, and I'm certainly not better than Him, so if I or someone else gets angry sometimes, that doesn't mean we lack love (Of course you know that, sis.)

Again, I want to say that black people don't like crime, either. "Stop the violence" has been a chorus sung in black communities since KRS-One made "Self Destruction" in 1989, and no, KRS-One is not one of the lesser-known robots from the Star Wars movies. Just trust me, we've been singing, rapping, marching, protesting and holding vigils against violence in black communities for years. The number of people of color working against crime in black neighborhoods far outnumbers the people involved in Black Lives Matter.

I'm sure you didn't know that. Why would you? I know your privilege has hypnotized you into believing that we should file a summary report with the white-people recording secretary before we make any moves, but there is no reason that the white populace would ever hear black people talking to black people about their actions toward black people. To put it into its most infantile form, this was an A-B conversation ...

Keep in mind that it's possible to be outraged at multiple things at the same time:
    1) Outraged at the number of abortions.
    2) Outraged at the number of divorces not involving abuse and/or infidelity.
    3) Outraged at the number of black-on-black crimes.
    4) Outraged at the number of white-on-white crimes.
    5) Outraged at the number of crimes of all kinds.
    6) Outraged at ISIS.
    7) Outraged that blacks in America suffered through slavery and Jim Crow.
    8) Outraged at the genocide of Native Americans.
    9) Outraged that working-class whites have had their jobs outsourced to Mexico and China.
    10) Outraged that blacks receive more severe penalties under the criminal justice system in many cases.
    11) Outraged by the Vietnam War, with loss of 58000 Americans and 2 millions Vietnamese.
    12) Outraged at racial profiling.
    13) Outraged that teachers have to be subjected to abuse from their students.
    14) Outraged at the extent of greed and general immorality in our nation.

    Etc.

The list is long, but you ought to be able to bring up one without mentioning all of the others, no??

We also need to halt the availability of drugs in the inner city. It will take work, but it HAS to happen. CHANGE has to happen.
NONE of that will help without FATHERS in the home to instill the REVERENCE OF GOD in their children. PERIOD.

Throwing money, programs, and jobs at a SPIRITUAL problem has NEVER worked. People have to WANT TO do better. Without proper training in the home, like in the case of Ben Carson's mother, things will continue as they have. If there isn't a father or father figure in the life of a child, then it's up to the mother to provide the spiritual base, and moral training of her children. It's worked for so many others, it is a tried and tested solution.

YES, the Church must reach them, but as long as you have folks that continue to cry racism and play the blame game, it will take decades, maybe even another millennia to reach people who refuse to acknowledge the fact that in the majority of cases, it is NOT racism that's keeping them down.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

When Bookman posted that I thought of David Wilkerson.....but I believe he was led there by the Holy Spirit and granted favor....he likely influenced many out of death and destruction.

But as long as someone embraces darkness all light can do is be available..

I have also thought of Dr. Carson...raised in a dark place yet he saw the light and migrated to it because his mother did..

It's one thing to be outraged but how we respond shows our character

The current outrage by many reveals a lawless mentality with no solutions but rampage, thuggery and hatred.
The media instead of promoting unity and peace are stirring up people into a frenzy

Everyone needs to look at Dr Martin Luther King as our example how to respond to evil

Outrage is no excuse for rioting and violence
