'Media Malfeasance': Networks Stuck With Russia Story While UK Attack Unfolded, Concha Says

Media reporter Joe Concha said the mainstream media committed "malfeasance" by appearing to ignore the U.K. terror attack.

Concha said Fox News Channel began breaking coverage of the Manchester, England bombing at 6:48 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, CNN, MSNBC and others stuck with coverage of Trump-Russia collusion allegations for nearly another hour.

Concha said that even the coverage of the bombing was slanted, noting CNN's Paul Cruickshank predicted it was a "false flag" attack by right-wingers trying to make Islam look bad.

"[The coverage] was media malfeasance marinated in myopia," Concha said.

"Any community access producer would know that once this story broke... there is no other story to cover," he said.

He said he was shocked by "Brady Bunch" panels about President Trump airing on other networks hours later while Shepard Smith anchored live coverage on Fox News Channel.

Islam doesn't need any help to look bad - the left and the deluded are the only ones who can't see that

It wasn't a prediction, merely a possibility. He was referring to right wing extremists (neo nazis etc), not to right wingers in general. He was basing this on previously uncovered plots by right wing extremists to do exactly that, in Europe. The Manchester attack could have been another case of that rather than a genuine islamic terror attack as it seemed to be at the moment of reporting. He does note that the fact that it was a suicide bomber makes the false flag scenario very unlikely. Right wing extremists wouldn't kill themselves just to frame islamists.

So no, Cardinal TT, not only the left thinks that Islam needs help to look bad.

Concha's coverage of Cruickshank is itself highly slanted and inflammatory. The perfect example of why I personally don't trust any media in the ongoing for/against Trump and conservative vs liberal media wars.

When all the supposedly "alt-right" things were happening right after Trump got elected, such as racial things scrawled on walls, swatzikas in black neighborhoods, etc, do you think any one on the left or in the media offered forth that it could be liberals or blacks themselves doing it to try and disparage Trump? Nope. Not one peep. But then when a terror act happens, it's really right wing extremists. Just more of the hypocrisy, and the inability to call a spade a spade if it doesn't further your agenda.

He was reporting from the crime scene at an early point when people were still running away. He didn't want to conclude that it was an islamic terror attack just because it looked like it at that time. Even if they were pretty sure that it was because they were pretty sure that it was a suicide bombing it still makes sense to point out the other possibility because it is likely that there will be a false flag attack here in Europe later. Breivik from my own country is a good example of the ability of right wing extremists to do something as horrible as that.

Their inability to mention alternative scenarios when it involves left wing liberals does in no way imply that doing so when it involves right wing extremists suddenly becomes wrong.

Beyond possible attitudes, innuendos etc there was nothing wrong with his reporting but Concha discusses it as if there was, using terms that are highly inaccurate to describe it and there is no excuse for that.

Journalism is about reporting truth, not about exchanging innuendos for innuendos etc.

2 Cor 4:4 doesn't apply to hatred for and suspicion towards neo nazis.

I am not sure why it would not. Jesus told us to love our enemies. Any hatred towards any individual is motivated by Satan and not God.

Okay, I'll reword the sentence then. Hatred for neo nazism and suspicion towards neo nazis.
