Martial law occurs when the military steps in to control the government.

According to Rosie O'Donnell, martial law is the only chance to stop the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

O'Donnell followed up the above tweet saying Trump should not be sworn in as president until the claims of alleged Russian hacking are fully investigated.

She received a mix of support and backlash on Twitter.

This is certainly not the first time O'Donnell has made headlines with her tweets about Trump. She fired off a string of tweets earlier this month calling Trump "mentally unstable" and a "criminal" and posed the question in November of whether Trump's son Barron has autism.

Like she's mentally stable? How can they believe they can rally Americans to do this when the win was overwhelmingly in favor of Trump? Only the liberals, and probably not even all of them would like to see martial law. That's a VERY drastic step AND a dangerous one to put in place.

She's the last person to call someone unstable, after she messed up her adoptive son's life by cohabitating with her lesbian lover when he was just a small boy, not understanding the perverse relationship she exposed him to daily.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Before martial law can be "imposed" there has to be a legal and legitimate reason. At this point no one as found any evidence that Russians (or anyone else) successfully hatched into any voting machines and changed them. As for the Wikileaks's disclosures, these were done to private servers of political parties. That is not the same as hacking into government computers and networks. The US spent $350,000 dollars to influence the last Israeli election, and we have a history of attempting to influence elections and politics in other countries. So, as usual Rosie has no clue or idea what she's talking about. No one called for martial law to prevent Obama from being sworn in and there were (are?) questions about his birth and citizenship. Rosie, get over it, go pack your bags like you promised and go.
