Although this was not directed to me, I would like to answer.

No, I did not watch her speech. It is extremely rare that I watch any of these "Awards" shows. All they are is an ego boost for some, a place to vent because your work didn't win or wasn't nominated, public arena for bad and/or juvenile behavior, or a platform for those in the "entertainment industry" to promote their pet causes and/or political agendas. A second reason I wouldn't watch is that those in "Hollywood" are no better qualified (in many cases less qualified) to express a political opinion or position than anyone else. In addition, I don't care about Streep or most anyone from Hollywood political opinions are as they are out of touch with the life and reality regular people face.

I wouldn't go to a podiatrist about my heart problems, or an endocrinologist for pulmonary concerns. Letting an actor, musician, singer, or anyone involved with entertainment to have great influence concerning politics is honestly a bit concerning IMO.

Oh, right. It was all over the news in the fall and then his disrespectful actions began to influence others.
