I think President Obama could also bring healing by speaking to celebrities, Hollywood, media and Democrats to give Trump a chance and to put aside rioting and hateful protests. IMO deep down I think Obama partly enjoys the discord and disruption that is why he hasn't said anything
I hope he proves me wrong by addressing the nation
I agree with your first paragraph...the second one, well nobody is in Obama's head and heart, to make that judgement...so I will not even go there.

@@@ Obama is in power until the inauguration so why can't he speak up and encourage. "his side" to stop? Clinton COULD hold a press conference and tell all those who are protesting and rioting to grow up and accept the election results. (Not even going start on rioters being hired and bused to locations.)

You all really don't get it, do you?

@@@ Get that people are afraid? Why wouldn't I? ALL the leaders need to take a firm stand and call the people to order.

Just because we have two vocal black people on here that agree with you (VWoman and Romans828) doesn't mean everybody else is wrong!! *I don't know where BAP is, maybe he's taking a break...)

@@@ VWoman and Romans828 being black have nothing to do with my opinion.

But this is an area where if you don't understand what's happening from a historical perspective, then I don't know what else to say.

@@@ I grew up in Canada and live in Canada, but I don't think you understand how immersed and influenced we are in what goes on south of our border. All through the campaign, the lead stories from OUR networks were about the Presidential Campaign and were just as biased toward Clinton as your own networks.

The issues you hated Obama and Clinton for are NOT going away come January..but if you believe my Christianity should overlook racist hate (overt and covert), then you would be wrong. Very wrong.

@@@Hate? When have I ever said I hate them? I don't even hate the knuckleheads in power in Canadian Parliament (Liberals who just passed a law about transgenderism that infuriates me.). I certainly don't like what they're doing, but hate? Not a chance.

And no. Why should your Christianity overlook racist hate when my own Christianity doesn't overlook hate and racism that believes that just because of the color of your skin, you don't deserve to live, and live well. I feel like you've read into my posts things that don't even begin to dwell in my heart.

I wonder who the "alt-right" or, term I prefer, "neo nazis" supported previously to Trump and why the media didn't focus on it. Things that make you go hmmmm..... Trump and his campaign have gone on record denouncing neo nazis, but he won't go as far to say they aren't allowed to support him, because really, what can he do about that? People have the right to support who they support. That doesn't mean who they support will be at their beck and call. Do you REALLY think Trump hates blacks and jews? There is no indication from his past that he does.

Alt-right is just the term liberals/media have come up with to replace neo nazi and others in order to further demonize true conservatives.

They are the ones who elected Trump and I'm quite sure they won't stand for racism anywhere in a Trump administration.
    Donald Trump disavows 'alt-right'

What about all the crazies that support Hillary/Obama...puhlease people this is just more nonsense. It's an old trick, the "association" thing but Trump, Hillary, Obama don't get to pick and choose who supports them.

    Just more media madness.

the devil IS a liar and he will continue to polarize the people.
Yeah, right in to the one world government and one world religion.

What hitler did was an attempt be satan to take over the world but the time was not right.

Now, we are on the edge of seeing this happen and this time it's done by the sheer number of people in the world that reject Jesus in favor of secular humanism where mankind is doing the same as men did at the tower of babel and the Lord is going to allow the time of the gentiles and it will lead to the great tribulation as God allows mankind to reap what has been sown.

Those that want to salute nutjob hitler are satan's minions... and sadly just because Trump got elected and should be better than hillery, this does not mean the world has magically been fixed and the United States will recover and become a great nation that it once was.

I'd like to think we have a little more time to get folks saved and make diciples, but it's most likely going to be business as usual (somewhat peaceful and prosperous) and Jesus catches away the faithful during this time when most would not think He would come.

Jesus did say He would come at a time when it is not expected... so a word to the wise should be sufficient.... or not.
