I understand what you're saying, but re: The President and the Presidency, there's a difference between vehemently disagreeing with someone and unabashedly disrespecting them.
(I also thought waaay too many people were mean, nasty and disrespectful towards Prez Bush (W), too, by the way.)

Same here. I was amazed at the level of hatred often expressed towards President Bush (a lot of it by Black Christians) and the blatant nastiness name-calling done towards President Obama (again, much of it done by White Christians). I certainly had serious issues with President Obama's anti-Christ agenda and spoke out publicly about it but refused to refer to him as "Obummer" and other things people were calling him. One "Christian" on the older forum stated outright that he hated Obama. Can't understand how a Christian can say they hate anyone when Jesus told us to love our enemies.
The things said about his wife (calling her a monkey, ape, a "man" and other horrible things) are inexcusable. As for George W. Bush, I never really thought he was a bad president (not the best but certainly not the monster he was painted to be by some) so I never really had much to say on him.
It is one thing to disagree with policies but another thing to be disrespectful and do name calling. We shouldn't even be doing that with the devil (people saying stuff like "ole sleuthfoot"). Speak out against ungodly and devilish policies but we should stop the name-calling.

WikiLeaks: Trump Rally Agitator and Clinton Campaign Manager Are 'Close'
Top Clinton aides discussed Bob Creamer and his 'grassroots/netroots' operation

Robert Creamer, the operative behind sending provocateurs to Donald Trump rallies, was close to Robby Mook, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, according to new emails released by WikiLeaks.
Creamer, who allegedly spearheaded the dirty tricks for the Democrats, wasn't just consulting for the Democratic National Committee, according to videos made by Project Veritas. He was sending people to provoke Trump at events.
Creamer has thus become a red-hot issue in the campaign. And now it's apparent he is close to Mook. That surprising detail came out Sunday morning when WikiLeaks posted hundreds more emails from John Podesta's Gmail account. Podesta is Clinton's campaign chairman whose account was hacked in March....
Yes, the one who has been to the Whitehouse over 400 times and quite a few of those were to meet with the President..

I agree on that point....
Fact is this is going to continue on into Trump's presidency...justifying that is wrong , kind of like justifying a hereditary curse...

No, the crazies didn't protest during Obama's terms, but he has been IMO the most DISRESPECTED POTUS in my recollection...AND there were those who proclaimed "Never my President", even on this forum. Soooo...
How can there be unity with a leader that enspouses damnable, devilish, murderous policies? Really you can ask that question?
He's the leader of the free world. He's suppose to be bigger than his detractors. But I don't expect he will do the honorable presidential thing. He never has, so why would I hope he would now.
And IMO, George W. Bush is the most disrespected POTUS in recent years. By both whites and blacks, but especially by ALL liberals.

Amen Troy. The name calling from both sides on G.W. Bush & Obama was horrible. I only criticize the policies of Obama, I never made it personal with name calling, because there was a time that I genuinely liked the President, and even though I didn't vote for him, I wanted badly for him to do well. I prayed for him the entire time and still had hope that he'd do better after he won in 2012. Unfortunately, he proved his detractors right.
Also, many times I called out the racism I witnessed against President Obama by members of this Forum on the old Forum, fractured friendships over it because there were a few members whose hatred and racism was discerned by a few of us, but not by the majority.
One member posted insulting and hateful cartoon images of him practically everyday for the years, and no one, except myself (maybe FO, I think) that I recall, ever called him out on it. This member and a couple of others were extreme in there disdain for Obama, yet whenever I called the persons out, they were defended, and I was the bad guy.

Troy, would you believe that for a long time I thought that "olé slootfoot" was one of the names the scriptures called the devil? I thought it was in the Bible! It kinda sounds biblical though. SMH

Hey, I think I stood with you on a few o those. For the most part I think I ignored many of the anti-Obama threads because I did not want to get my blood boiling

Disappointed that Christians can spew as much vitriol as the heathen - We may not agree with someone, but we don't have to get nasty, rude and unseemly about it.
