To those who watched the live election coverage last night...

...at what point did you know Trump had it? All the polls and all the media figured it would be an early night with Hillary pronounced the winner before 11pm but we now know it didn't go down that way.

I turned on FOX after 8 last night and continued to pray and believe tho it was looking pretty ominous. After a couple of hours Megyn Kelly announced that Trump got the swing state of Ohio...then the news came that Trump got North Carolina also but the commentators said he'd still have a long way to go to win.

A few minutes go by and Megyn announces with a look of perplexed amazement that Florida was just called for Trump too...and I think that was the point where most of us saw that the finish line was in sight. :)

I'm also curious what station you watched the returns on, did anyone watch another network like CNN or MSNBC? I kept FOX on all night but would have liked to have seen their reactions as the tide turned and at what point they started conceding that Clinton was losing.

When they finally said it I knew. I wasn't coming close to counting the chickens before they hatched. lol.

Since we only have over the air tv, we started off with ABC then switched to CBS during a break. CBS was much more professional in how they handled the coverage, in our opinions. Now and then they would show their analysts and said the network would not be making any irresponsible predictions due to the closeness of the vote. When they switched to Trump's announcement, they put up the line that HRC had called Trump to concede.

Sometime during the evening as Trump was maintaining the lead, one of the experts they had speak was Peggy Noonan. She pointed out that this election had a spiritual involvement as well as the surprising outcome. I don't remember exactly what her comment was, but it was good!

The team talked about the likely outcome as Trump continued to hold the lead. They were all very gracious.

honestly? i was sitting in my fashionable easy chair watching fox news when the Holy Spirit spoke to me. I got a piece of paper and pen and wrote down what He said to me...

"Trump wins! Chosen to allow last revival to flood America."

At that time it did not look good for Trump and I told my wife that Hilliary might win this thing. Thats when the Holy Spirit corrected me....

In the time since the conventions, I have refused to let all the "stuff" sway me. We have had some presidents in the past I didn't care for but the sky never fell in on us. This country has some very serious issues, but life has gone on.

I knew it when Florida was announced, well, maybe not knew it, but knew he had a chance. Before that, I really believed Hillary would be elected. I wasn't going to watch the election results, but after I picked up my daughter from work and heard about Florida, I was one miserable puppy at work yesterday for lack of sleep.
