HERE IS THE MEANING OF "WOLD."
No go back and read the full context of what I said. Anyone with the brain of a ground hog would know that I was using the right word.Wold is an Old English term for a forest or an area of woodland on high ground; it is cognate with the Dutch word woud and with the German word Wald, as well as low German Wohld, all meaning forest. It became weald in West Saxon and Kentish.
