WSJ Report: White House, Clinton Campaign Coordinated on Email Fallout

The Wall Street Journal reported today that the White House coordinated with Hillary Clinton's campaign last year about the fallout from the news that the former secretary of state had used a private email server.

    The Journal reported:

Their discussion included a request from the White House communications director to her counterpart at the State Department to see if it was possible to arrange for Secretary of State John Kerry to avoid questions during media appearances about Mrs. Clinton's email arrangement.

In another instance, a top State Department official assured an attorney for Mrs. Clinton that, contrary to media reports, a department official hadn't told Congress that Mrs. Clinton erred in using a private email account.

The emails were obtained by the RNC through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. An ethics expert said in the article that the contact would probably be within the law because White House staffers are allowed to engage in some political activity.

On Outnumbered today, we heard from Daniel Henninger, Deputy Editorial Page Director of The Wall Street Journal, who talked about why voters should care about this story.

"It tells us something about the nature of any impending Clinton presidency, he said.

Henninger explained that in addition to the RNC, at least two federal judges have ordered the emails to be released by the State Department, which he said is "acting like a wing of the Hillary Clinton election campaign."

He said that in 2008, progressives believed Barack Obama's election represented the defeat of the "Clinton machine," but the same people would be back in a Hillary Clinton administration.

"So many voters are looking for a reason not to vote for Hillary Clinton. Because they have the sense that it's going to go back to the same old kind of insider dealing," he concluded.

    Watch the discussion above.

Well, obama is just looking out for his successor.

I'd be very, very surprised if Trump won... even if he wins the popular vote, they'll just have the electoral college go with hillery.

I'd imagine her minions are offering the electoral college reps a deal they just can't refuse... kinda like the mob does
