Thread: The Trump on Immigration

Ross Perot did have a realistic change of winning, in my opinion, because he was independently wealthy and able to self-finance his campaign, and because he was generally likable and seemed to be engaged in an honest attempt to provide voters with facts about key issues, such as the financial integrity of the "social security" program. However, he did drop out of the race for a few weeks, and then chose a very inexperienced person as his vice presidential "running mate", and these events led many to conclude that he wasn't serious enough about the job. So, in my view, he might have won had he done a couple of things differently.

For an independent to win the general voting population has to have a large degree of confidence that he could possibly win, whether they are thinking about voting for him or not. It's a bit like the stock market, volatile. It seems to me that it would be very difficult to create that kind of confidence in the US but maybe Ross Perot could have kept it up. Things tend to stabilize themselves back towards boring when election day arrives, I think that is the case everywhere. So it would take a lot of momentum.

I liked Ross but I think it fell apart for him when his VP pick seemed to be struck dumb in a televised debate.

Anyway, this whole thing about "wasted" votes is just something else we need to get over. The establishment has planted that thought for their benefit.

It's all kinda a moot point because the world will continue to roll headlong into a one world government God spoke of and no politician from the US is going to stop that.

We know the US is not ever again going to be the leader of the free world because if we were, we would opposed the anti-christ and he would not come to power.

We would send in Seal Team 6 and blow him into a bunch of really small pieces so satan couldn't put him back together again and they would be the end of that.

Have you guys noticed the false prophet (the pope) sure is ramping up his efforts to bring all world religions together in peace?

And many Christians actually think the guy is a Christian! It would be hilarious if it weren't so deceptive.

Right...the media is far too powerful in influencing people...they are told, so-in-so can't win so people will shift their candidate...It's scary the power of persuasion they have on so many..Polls are often just their 'fact tool' of choice when rarely do people see the actual line of questions they used to get those numbers..

I actually agree with you on this point...history proves it. No matter how great a president was perceived to be each one left us a little closer to that..at least that's how it seems to me.

Prophecy says the anti-Christ will come to power, that doesn't negate the fact that the US was dedicated to God and still shines. You're speaking about end time events where Christians are removed in the rapture...if they weren't, then any believer could cast satan out of the anti-Christ.

If that's true... I'd like to hear an explanation as to why Jesus did not cast the devil out of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. If the anti-christ dude is enjoying his demon... you won't be able to cast it out since you would have to usurp authority over his will, and that's what they attempt to do in witchcraft.... which some Christins engage in unknowingly because they are ignorant of what God's Word says about this subject.

Yes, the US was dedicated to the Lord when the first settlers came over... but that does not mean the Lord is going to over ride the free will of all the citizens of the US when the vast majority are now in open, willing rebellion against God.

God's gifts are without repentance so He cannot FORCE Himself upon people... if He could, He would make everyone on earth get saved and we would start the 1000 year reign of Christ by morning.

God is not mocked... those that sow to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption which can be everything from the mind not being able to understand the things of God (on a personal level), to large cities being destroyed in a matter of moments (on a national level).

Yeah, ask ancient Israel how turning away from the Lord worked for them... not real much!
How are we any different? The US is doing exactly what ancient Israel did, and we will eventually get the same results they did which is... God will allow our enemies to destroy us.

Sure, I'd like to believe that will all go down after the rapture... but on the other hand, if ISIS lights off a nuke in New York City... we will be able to gains a bunch of converts cause generally speaking mankind is so slow that something terrible has to happen before many of us will say "should we call upon Jesus? Is it time to believe that Jesus stuff" I'll admit, years ago that's what brought me back to God, so I was just as slow as everyone else.

Only Christians that are overcomers (walking after the Spirit, not after the flesh - living for the Lord with sincerity) will go in the rapture... many of what we call Christians are carnal minded and are not actually walking with the Lord which is evident by their worldly lifestyle.

All those that claim Christ must turn away from iniquity... unless of course you believe in OSAS and in that case, you gonna be shocked!

That will be proven once we all either die or get caught up in the air to meet the Lord.

The Lord foretold that in the last days many would come claiming to be teaching Jesus but were in fact false teachers, deceiving many so you'll have to take it up with Him since He is the One that said it.

It's funny how some Christians claim you are "religious" if you believe Christians should not lead a worldly lifestyle.
