Well, I believe that should be up to the business owner as they have to take on any liability. A job is not a right.

In today's politically correct world, where evil is protected before that which is right.

They would probably convert to ISIS-islam and hope to get hold of some sex slaves. Some of their slaves are pre-pubertal girls.

Of course not, Brother - You're being facetious, right?
I would hope that schools, daycare centers, etc. do thorough background checks on their potential employees that include *Sex Offender* type crimes.
However, I don't think a sex offender should have to disclose his or her background if they're working as a mechanic or some other job where they won't be around children.

I have thought about it, but since I'm retired now, I'm not gonna bother with it.
Plus, God knows exactly what happened, and that I was innocent of the crime, but guilty of being in the crowd.

Sure they should... simply because a child could be in their presence at any moment, unless they are in prison where they belong.

I hear ya, Brother, but how about the 18 year-old kid that had (consensual) sex with a 16 year-old girl and because her father found out and had him arrested, he had to register as a *sex offender*
Should this kid be denied a decent job for the rest of his life, because he has to disclose to every potential employer that he's a registered sex offender?

I was responding to njtom's post of "Also, I believe that once a person has served their time, he or she should not be denied employment based on the past crime." I was giving him a situation to see if he really believed what he said. :)

Do you know if he has ever pardoned before this? Has he done this every year? Or is this the first time? If it is his first, it's definitely politically motivated concerning the election.
