EXCLUSIVE: Evangelical leaders to quiz Trump on faith and values

EXCLUSIVE: Evangelical leaders to quiz Trump on faith and values

Donald Trump has agreed to meet privately with some of the nation's most prominent Evangelical leaders – a meeting seen as critical to garnering support from social conservatives, Fox News has learned.

"Our goal is to be able to have a conversation that could lead to a better understanding of what Donald Trump has to offer to the country," said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.

Perkins is one of the key conservative leaders spearheading the gathering – set for June 21 in New York City. Perkins, along with Bill Dallas of United in Purpose, worked with Dr. Ben Carson to arrange the meeting.

As many as 500 conservative leaders from around the nation are expected to attend the invitation-only event.

We have not seen what the result is yet. There is no use jumping to conclusions. I am very interested in what these ministers will conclude. I am concerned that Trump will simply lie when answering their questions. I do not believe for one minute that he will stand by all the things he says he will do. Time will tell. However, I believe he is a liberal behind the guise of a Conservative.

I mean what's the point? He's the candidate. It's either him or Hillary and I can't see them coming from the meeting and voting for Hillary if they're true conservatives.

Did you watch this video yet bro Nikos? The first few minutes are very powerful. Donald Trump is taking the same stance on issues that he did back in 1980. He has held true to his convictions. That carries a lot of weight in today's political climate where the candidates change what they stand for according to what particular crowd they are wooing at the time.

I don't think Trump understands what made America great in the first place. How then can he make it great again? Our greatness came from God's blessing on this nation and it will only return when we humble ourselves, confess our national sins, and return to being a righteousness-seeking nation. Then, God willing (and I believe He is), we will become great again.

Returning to righteousness includes not allowing Hillary, or any other progressive, to be elected President of The United States.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

A lot of Trump supporters are going to be very disappointed if he's elected. He is not a conservative. Just another RINO with an Everest-sized ego. Plus he's a lewd man. He will affirm gay marriage and do little about abortion. He's great at tapping into the anger Americans feel, but that will not result in the kinds of changes needed to make America great again. I can't believe so many Christians support him simply because he's not Hillary.

Folks, his ascendency is yet another sign we need to be praying in earnest for this country. Don't expect a single big-mouthed man to save America. It's not going to happen.

I'm not near as much Pro-Trump, as I am Anti-Hillary.

    That would bring woe.
