I believe deep in my heart that there is only one nation outstanding, above all, exceptional , chosen out of all others and that is ISRAEL.
This is written in my Bible.
And yes, it does upset me.

The idea "ordained by God to be more exceptional than any other nation that ever existed" has theological implications. It's very America centric, if it is to be taken half seriously. Mormons would no doubt love it.

I already said that I consider that statement pep talk rather than a theological statement. It doesn't offend me as a Norwegian, a "European" or anything. But I'm pretty sure that some voters will "hear" Trump as really meaning that statement. He is a populist, whatever else one might think of him. Possibly a populist who actually keeps the promises that he made to his voters but still, a populist.

There you go. Fussing over something petty.
Maybe we were ordained by God to protect Israel.
Most of us here don't want to be apart of the globalist agenda and the one world border idea.

One would have to be really ignorant not to recognized that God raised up the United States for a number of reasons, one of the most important being sending missionaries and evangelizing the world. And I don't doubt your statement about Israel either.

Look, as it were, through a telescope that will bring it up near to you; look into hell, and hear them groan; then turn the glass upwards and look at heaven, and see the saints there, in their white robes, with their harps in their hands, and hear them sing the song of redeeming love; and ask yourself--Is it possible, that I should prevail with God to elevate the sinner there? Do this, and if you are not a wicked man, and a stranger to God, you will soon have as much of the spirit of prayer as your body can sustain. -Charles Finney 'The Spirit of Prayer' from 'Lectures On Revivals of Religion'
