Yes, but if / when one of this nation's enemies hit us with one of those electromagnetic pulse (EMP) bombs that wipes out the circuit boards of ALL electronic equipment... your gizmo will be gone but books will still be here.
Sadly, this nation is long overdue for judgement so it wouldn't hurt to have some measure of preparedness and in this it might be a good idea to have the books anyway just in case they are needed.

I had never thought of maintaining a list of books that I really want to have. Just think! Even more books.
One thing lockdown taught me early on was to have a good basic cookbook (I have several), and other good classic books to read and re-read.

Actually, I've started a list... here is the beginning of the list.
We're Not Colorblind: Healing the Racial Divide by Alveda King (niece of MLK Jr) and Ginger Howard
The Oxford Illustrated History of the Reformation by Peter Marshall
Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson
The Odyssey by Homer (need to research a good translation first)
Watership Down by Richard Adams
************************
Recent additions
The Light and The Glory by Peter Marshall and David Manuel
Still the Best Hope by Dennis Prager
The History of the Church from Christ to Constantine by Eusebius
Proof of the Gospel by Eusebius
Unto the Messiah by Wallace P. Odum (expositions on the prophecies of Daniel)
Books by Howard Pyle: Robin Hood, King Arthur, Otto of the Silver Hand
and many others. I'm nearly finished The Light and The Glory - I actually started listening to it on my library's free audiobook app (Hoopla) and it was changing my point of view on history so much that I had to buy the book because I know I'll be referring back to this book.
What books would you never part with (other than the Bible or standard Biblical reference works like Strong's) or what books are on your list to find/buy/get???

Book people - how do you arrange your books?
I was going to do the color arrangement until I realized that I was mixing genres and got quite upset about it! I like to keep my books arranged loosely according to genres -
Bibles and study help type books
Other Christian books
Cookbooks
Gardening/Outdoors
Birds (watching, ornithology, etc.)
Fiction (although C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, and Tolkien will soon warrant their own shelf)
Classics
Kids books, comic books (I'm a Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse fan - as long as it's pre-Duck Tales)
