I was thinking of what Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for, making their prayers long as a religious duty etc.

SHOULD be from a desire to please HIM...True Nikos but an addendum needs to be added...first we can't please HIM without faith and secondly we can't please HIM in our natural humanity....so when it comes to anything we do, if it's not Spirit led it is likely contaminated with sin...

The fact is we don't know how to please GOD apart from the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Reminds me of the lesson of Ester....she alone went to the ONE who knew the king best and asked for guidance to please the king...the rese seemingly relied on their own ideas...

Only the Spirit of God can lead us to the place of pleasing our Father...
