In Effort To Appeal To Socialists, Mike Lindell Introduces ‘OurPillow’ | The Babylon Bee

CHASKA, MN—Mike Lindell, more commonly known as the "MyPillow Guy," is making headlines once again with his newest line of pillows. MyPillow is now targeting the socialist demographic with the release of OurPillow.

"MyPillow did really well in the Trump era, but now with a new administration, it's time to try out OurPillow, my comrades!" said an exuberant Mike Lindell. "And we are proud to announce that we are transitioning to overseas factories so every OurPillow will be made 100% in the communist utopia of China!"

A recent "As Seen On TV" commercial revealed that OurPillow will no longer perfectly adjust to fit individuals, but instead it will conform to the masses. It also boasts a patented, quick-drying, liberal tear absorbing foam. "It's guaranteed the most comfortable pillow the State will ever own and let you use!" said Lindell.

"We love how inclusive OurPillow is, and now that the government is paying for it, everyone can enjoy!" said democratic socialist Millie Lenin. "Not to mention-- the built-in deodorizer is a nice touch."

When asked how to order OurPillow, Mike Lindell replied: "Look for OurPillow today being distributed at a breadline near you!"

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...

Maybe the one I posted is a little more obvious satire.

Calvinism, or at least the hoops they have to jump through, kind of "freaks my weirdness" too.

THIS MAY BE WRONG. SEE NEXT POST.

That's where life is "funny". The loops (or hoops as they are round) in the idea that God didn't know what He had created and had to "look down time" to find out kind of "freaks my weirdness" too.

Gen 2:2-3 says, "By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." Given that He rested on that day, did God not yet know that within a few days Adam would rebel and sin? When did God actually look down time?

Whenever God did look down time He would have seen that Cain killed Abel. He had to decide if He would execute Cain. Did He look down the timeline of both possibilities before deciding to let Cain live? If so how far did He look? Did he look the 1600 years necessary to see that He'd have to send the flood or did He quit looking earlier? If He quit earlier when looking based on His decision to spare Cain and getting to the point of the flood could He then have decided to reverse His decision on Cain and start looking again? What if this ended up worse? Could He reverse His reversal?

And look at David. God knew what would happen when he was anointed king at a young age by Samuel. God didn't intervein when he lusted. Or when he invited the woman home. Or when he committed adultery. But only after the husband was murdered. So at each of these points God would have had to look into the possible futures and loop back and forth till He came up with one He wanted to go with.

These are only two of hundreds of times we see God directly involved in something and when He does the resulting future is different (and people say Calvinism has the controlling God). But there are millions, maybe billions that aren't documented. Whose God is the micromanager?

The result of this, if it is how it worked, is that we only exist today as a result of choices God made. He decided that we would exist. The Bible says that God made these choices before He created the world, not on the fly afterwards.

The other thing that "freaks my weirdness" is as Ezekiel33 says, "God's foreknowledge allows Him to know who is going to repent and be saved. He therefore acts accordingly with His divine providence". Do we know what's going on in the world at the moment? A little bit of suggestion and everyone's staying at home and wearing masks and dobbing on their neighbours etc! And consider how well advertising works! Anyone can be convinced of almost anything by man so God who knows everyone's heart and trigger points etc. could get anyone to believe if he wanted to couldn't he? He can if He's truly God. The idea of "who is going to repent" ignores the fact that the one who acts accordingly knows exactly how to act to get a person to believe and so could get anyone He wants to believe. And that is what the Bible says He does.

I said that the previous thoughts may be wrong as the original premise was that God didn't know who would be saved until after He created the world and looked down time to see.

In my previous post I asked "Whenever God did look down time He would have seen that Cain killed Abel. He had to decide if He would execute Cain. Did He look down the timeline of both possibilities before deciding to let Cain live?"

The original premise says that that is not possible. God could look down the timeline of what would happen to Cain if God did nothing, but God wouldn't have known what would happen if He executed Cain until after He did it. Similarly God did not know what would happen until after He "placed a mark on Cain, so that no one finding him would kill him".

What I previously described was similar to the heretical Open Theism, i.e. "open theism says that since God and humans are free, God's knowledge is dynamic and God's providence flexible. While several versions of traditional theism picture God's knowledge of the future as a singular, fixed trajectory, open theism sees it as a plurality of branching possibilities, with some possibilities becoming settled as time moves forward", i.e. God has an idea of what could happen but not exactly what will happen till closer to the mark. Arminian theology seems to me to say that God knows exactly what will happen given the current state of affairs, but each time he intervenes the current state of affairs changes and therefore God now knows something different will happen.
