The "little horn" mentioned by Danial, as well as the "man of sin" mentioned by Paul in Thessalonians, and the "beast" that John recorded in the book of Revelation are all the same --- the future Antichrist.
Jesus also mentioned this diabolical end-time villain in John 5:43.
"I have come in My father's name, and you you do not receive Me;
if another shall come in his own name, you will receive him.
Brother Cardinal mentioned the end-time villain, specifically, a certain evil character, Antichrist (1 Jn 2:18), or the "man of lawlessness" (2 Thess 2:3) in which when he appears, will signal the last hour of this age. Prior to this last days "villain" appearing, John the revelator said many antichrists have appeared. He was indicating that there were forerunners of the future antichrist. They were those who went out from us as they abandoned the church and defected from the faith, gathering disciples after themselves.
Scripture has plenty to say about antichrist, a certain future individual, that when revealed in the final hour of this age will:
* Blaspheme God (Rev 13:5-6, Dan 7:8-25, 11:36).
* Overcome the saints (Rev 13:7, 7:14, 20:4,
* Overcome Jews (Re 12:13-17, Dan7:21).
* Conquer many nations (Rev 13:7, Dan 7:8, 23-24, 11:40-45).
* Kill the two witnesses (Rev 11:7-12).
* Change times and laws (Dan 7:25).
* Do as he will for a period (Dan 11:26, 2 Thess 2:3-4, Rev 13).
* Perform miracles (Rev 13:1-18, 19:20, Dan 8:24, 2 Thess 2:8-12).
* Cause craft to prosper (Dan 8:25).
* Control money and commerce (Dan 11:38-43, Rev 13:17, 18:1-24).
* Cause great deception (Rev 13:13-18, 2 Thess 2:8-12, Jn 5:43, Dan 8:25).
* Control religion (Rev 13:1-18, 14:9-11, 15:2, 16:2, 20:4-6, Dan 11:36).
* Control all lives in his realm (Rev 13).
* Control kings (Rev 13:7, 17:12-17).
* Make all nations fear him ( Rev 13:4).
* Reign for 42 months ( Rev 13:5).
* Mobilize nations to Armageddon (Rev 16:13-16, 19:19-210.
* Fight Christ (Rev 17:14, 19:11-21, Dan 8:25, Zech 14:1-5).
Antichrist's reign and power over the nations will be short lived and come to an end.
This man will be cast alive into the lake of fire (Rev 19:20) and he will still be in the lake of fire in conscious torment one thousands years later (Rev 20:10).
