I wont mention any names though...

I've heard A LOT of things preached against, but Thanksgiving is a new one
That just mean's it's not a fest or ceremony designed by God...does not make it wrong...but it just serves as a reminder to keep it in it's place..it's a holiday set to remind us to gather and be thankful...

One can celebrate holidays religiously and one can choose religiously to not celebrate them..neither is good..so I put them in the same category as Paul with the eating of food offered to idols..celebrate if your conscience is ok with it..don't if it's not..but don't judge others either way. That's my POV

It's a proven historical fact concerning the origins of Christmas coming from pagan beliefs, rituals, and practices as the catholic church embraced paganism and brought it in to their faulty, un-biblical belief system.

I do understand though that some do not want to be bothered with facts concerning Christmas which is between you and God if pagan practices leave an open door to ol slewfoot to cause trouble for those engaged.

Yes, what God says doesn't interest everyone... so I see a little mocking of scripture would be in order.
Depends on who you read FT...

The decision to choose a date to celebrate Jesus' birth is probably not a problem with God..He did dedicate a clearly defined passage of scripture to that event so it was not something done in secret..and the angels celebrated...

Christmas, IMHO serves as a thorny reminder to the whole world of Jesus' birth regardless of their belief or opinion of that..
