Angry that I had to endure being smashed for 6 hours. The airlines should not allow this, in all seriousness. It's not right.

She knows that this is just how it has to be. She knows that she could literally ruin someone's life if she has to sit next to them in a normal seat for several hours. All obese people know this as well. It's just a fact of life, AJ.
How would it ruin someone's life?

Might make them uncomfortable for a few hours, but ruin their life?

As far as the shaming remarks, I was addressing Farm Truck's usual rudeness.

I know some people will probably get on my case for saying that, but mind you, this is a 6 hour flight and the seats are very narrow.
This means his rolls will cover the entire arm rest and rub against me the entire 6 hours.

Ends up he sat on the same row as I was seated ( in the emergency row) in a window seat, so he had extra leg room but not extra width.
The man next to him was obviously very irritated
Ok, now we're talking about GOSSLY obese. I would expect someone that large to make special arrangements...

The picture of the guy in the article of the op wasn't anywhere near that.

I've just been picturing the usual 200-250lb kind of obese.

And for the record, there are thin people who are just as difficult to sit beside as large people...

Manners have a lot to do with how comfortable one is on a flight as well.

Come on, AJ.....surely you know what hyperbole is. Certainly it WOULD ruin a long flight if you were sitting next to an obese person.

    Hyperbo-who?

You said life. Don't you always mean what you say?

Flight? yes, would definitely make it uncomfortable.

I sat next to a skinny person in a conference once who kept leaning on me like I was a pillow. I was pretty much ready to punch her.

Things can go well when people have good manners, even when it's uncomfortable.
