In an amazing moment, Dave Morris, the owner of D&R Daily Grind, crashed a WWMT news report to speak out about the lockdown that is putting him out of business. You can watch it here and it's worth seeing.

Morris said, "They want me to go down and be quiet and never hear from me again. I am not going to put up with it. It's time to rise up. Shut it all down or don't shut any of us down."

Imagine being in his situation. You have put your life into a small business, want to keep it open and people want to come to your restaurant. Yet, an uncaring government says that it doesn't matter if you want to stay open and your customers want to patronize your business. They send you a cease and desist order demanding that you close your indoor dining room and go out of business instead. Then, to absolutely make sure that you don't survive, they're going to fine you $1000 per day for simply wanting to work and keep your business alive. I am exactly in the same place as Matt Walsh on this,

Morris was also right when he noted that, "My government leaders have abandoned me." In Michigan and across the country, people like Dave Morris are having their lives destroyed for no reason by the edicts of power-happy government officials. They claim this arbitrary nonsense is designed to fight coronavirus but is it working anywhere? What success can you point to in places like New York, New Jersey, California & Michigan where they've punished their residents while doing little of significance to stop COVID-19? Basically, all that is happening in places like Michigan is that the incompetent people in charge are inflicting another layer of pain on top of the damage the coronavirus is already doing. I admire Dave Morris for standing up, fighting back, and trying to save his business. No one should admire what tyrannical government officials are doing to small business owners.
